Lily House offers air-conditioned accommodation in Ica. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. Lily is a wonderful host. She is caring, kind, and easy going. Her place is comfortable and clean. I love that the bus station is a quick walk away too. The breakfast consisted of pork and eggs with tomatoes. It was both hearty and delicious. During my quick visit I was fortunate enough to meet her friends and got invited to one of their homes. One friend has a hobby as a beekeeper and I was able to taste various types of honey as a result. I was shown the trick to keeping bees calm and also was treated to a scrumptious lunch. I had a buggy/sand sledding tour in the afternoon and Lily allowed me to keep my belongings at her house until I was ready to leave for the night bus to Arequipa. Lily also filled my water bottle with purified water to send me on my way. I highly recommend Lily’s place! Also, there are stores and a shopping mall across the street. Lastly, it only costs 8 soles via a tuk tuk to Huacachina.
