Aurora River Camp Glass igloos & cabins ligger 19 km från Kiruna centralstation och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering. The glass igloo facing the river side was excellant for viewing the amazing aurora all night long while staying in the warmth. On a clear evening at dusk, a staff on site came over to let us know that the aurora has started to be visible (we had the light on after returning from a day time activity so didn't realise) - very nice of her! We went on nighttime dog sledding into the woods on another night - one of the activities that we signed up on the camp's website. It turned out the aurora was particularly intense that night and it was spectacular! The snow covered landscape was beautiful. On a cloudy (i.e. warmer) evening, we follow the marked trail from the camp site to walk to the middle of the frozen river, it was an amazing experience. The shared kitchen and dinning area has multiple tables and rooms. It was at the same time cozy and at the same time allowed us to enjoy some small chat with other visitors.
