The owners are very sweet and provided us with loads of food and location recs since we are new to the area. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, extremely clean with all amenities present! Location is great too, near to the main food areas and views are stunning.

The friendly front desk lady rode me to the dalin night market 😋😋😋 I liked the retro, vintage design and modern experience of this guesthouse. Like entering into a Taiwanese drama studio setting. Time travel machine back into the 60s.

Offering free bikes and city view, 郵系空間民宿 is situated in Zhuqi, 10 km from Wufeng Park and 12 km from Chiayi Park. It was very clean and well maintained. The bed was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was very strong and the TV had many channels. The host was very warm, welcoming, diligent, friendly, and helpful. There is a great night market and many stores nearby.

Offering a terrace and mountain view, Drizzle Tea House is set in Fenchihu, 37 km from Wufeng Park and 42 km from Chiayi Tower. The location is breathtaking and the food was unbelievable!

Offering a garden and mountain view, Hongpeng Coffee Station Homestay is set in Meishan, 5.8 km from Meishan Taiping Old Street and 24 km from Janfunsun Fancy World. The place is run by a family. The son helped us carry our luggages to the 2nd floor. The place has no elevator. Our room is huge with all the basic amenities. It's got a great view from the patio. On clear days one can view the sun rise there. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. It's about a 10 min drive from the Tai Ping sky ladder. There are no resturants close by, so grab your bento from the Tai Ping old street. Highly recommended.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, One Roll Stone Homestay is situated in Fanlu, 18 km from Chiayi Tower and 19 km from Lantan Reservoir. Superb view at night with sky full of stars. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Located within 31 km of Jiao Lung Waterfall and 34 km of Alishan Forest Railway, Alishan Hinoki B&B offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Leye. Location. Nice decor, Japanese inspired. Nice sunrise on the rooftop. The bus from Chiayi left us in front of the property.

Boasting mountain views, Rainy Pleasure provides accommodation with patio, around 7.4 km from Meishan Taiping Old Street. Everything was excellent! Andy as host was fantastic, explaining everything, very helpful with everything I needed. Beautiful house and landscapes around. Clean room, white towels and sheets, very soft. If you looking for an escape from crowd and touristic areas this is a place for you. I was traveling alone and felt so safe in the Rainy Pleasure. Breakfast served on the tarace with breathtaking view. I want to come back there for sure! Thank you Andy

山旅民宿, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Meishan, 5.6 km from Jiao Lung Waterfall, 29 km from Alishan Forest Railway, as well as 42 km from Hebaoshantonghua Park. The views were really nice and peaceful.
