I highly recommend the Mundo Nuevo. It exceeded my expectations. The location is simply stunning - with views all over Minca all the way to Santa Marta and at night you can see the lights of Baranquilla. At breakfast I was surrounded by hummingbirds and I saw Tucans nearby. The whole property is well kept and has a beautiful layout. The large common area makes it very sociable and it was very easy to interact with other guests. It is also very clean - the pool got cleaned every morning and the staff constantly cleans the common areas. What I personally really appreciated was the attention to detail: All three meals get cooked completely fresh in the kitchen and you can watch the whole process - they even bake their own bread and arepas and make all the salsas themselves - in a quality I really didn’t expect from a “hostel”. The coffee is from their own beans, the “Nutella” freshly made from their own chocolate. When I asked if I could get a second slice from the lasagna - they gave me one without hesitation (all at our table asked for a second slice because it was so good). These Details (including the very friendly team from the lodge) are something much pricier hotels could learn from. All in all I could completely relax and was seriously contemplating to extend my stay.

The location is beautiful and quiet in nature. The cabanas were clean and spacious and the pools had gorgeous views of the mountains. Staff all very lovely and helpful.

Authentic experience in the middle of the jungle. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Minca. We had the deluxe room with sea view, which is the one located at the highest point. The room is small and basic, but the view is awesome. You wake up with the sounds of the jungle. The bed is tiny but comfortable. It was nice to learn the story of the place and how to build sustainable accommodations. The staff was great, super friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was also delicious, with a lot of choices, definitely a plus compared to most colombian accommodations. We tried almost everything and they have omelettes, pancakes, oatmeal. Also the homemade tea was delicious! The restaurant area was also really nice, you can do bird watching while having breakfast. There is a small trail that leads to the center on Minca directly from your room, in 10-15 min, which was very convenient. It is quite uphill but all well maintained and organized. You can see that they put a lot of efforts in keeping the place in good state and to make sure that the guests enjoy the stay, for this they deserve a 10.

Our stay at Sintropia was the highlight of our two week trip in Colombia. I had been looking forward to the visit due to the rave reviews and photos- and it exceeded even my high expectations. The finca is one of the furthest out of Minca, but due to this is perched high above the sea with incredible views both morning and evening of the lush forest surroundings. The cabins are beautifully decorated and you wake to a chorus of birds right outside your balcony. We even spotted a toucan one morning! Luis and his family have created such a calm and stunning space with only three cabins and three rooms available to stay- you truly feel like you are in a small slice of paradise. The sunsets from the viewpoint are out of this world! Luis also took us on an excellent tour around the finca and explained all the work he has put into the property over the last two years- truly impressive. Don't hesitate to book here- and stay as many nights as you can! We only had two and wished we could have stayed for a week.

We had an amazing time at Terramia Estate! Daniel and Hannah were great hosts, the whole team welcomed us with great hospitality and they were super friendly. And also very helpful, anything we needed they were there to assist. At the end of our stay, when we got back to our car, the battery died. Immediately Daniel helped us out and fixed it. And when we asked if we could watch a football game (Holland was playing in the European Championship) they invited us in their home, to watch it together, so kind of them! There is no wifi in the domes, which is great because you are forced to look at the beautiful view all day :) If there is no rain (unfortunately we had a lot of rain), and clear skies, you can see all the way to the ocean: stunning! It is a smallscale place on a coffee plantation, you can also do a coffee tour which is a good way to learn more about Terramia and the coffee process. The waterfall tour was also nice to do, especially because it is private and not a touristic spot. The food is good and healthy, there are a lot of beverages you can take (the wine was a bit pricy) and Daniël makes some tasty cocktails! We would highly recommend this place. If you are looking for a peaceful, remote and unique place, this is where you want to go.

Very good location, walking distance from the center! The staff was very helpful and the nature around is amazing!

Excellent, very comfortable double room, very clean, good shower and quiet. Incredible views, was able to see so many exotic birds. A small place so easy to meet people Free water provided Easy to get to the property and i walked back from the town twice, it's uphill but if you're fit it's not hard. Moto taxi is 5mil which is good for arriving with a rucksack. Very friendly staff and owner Very good breakfast and coffee, cater for those with dietary requirements which is a big thumbs up. Will definitely return here, it's brilliant.

Amazing views, very peaceful, super friendly and helpful owners, definitely recommended for a relaxing stay in the sierra.
