We spent the afternoon in the outdoor bathtub watching a rain storm come in and then the sun come back out - it was perfection. I will be returning, especially as she really goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. Also, make sure to ask her about the mirador!!

I loved the food, it was so delicious and healthy! I also loved the dorm, my bed was the most comfortable bed during traveling in colombia and i could watch the sun rise from there. It almost felt like a home to me during my 4 nights stay. The family who owns, runs and built this place is also around, the staff is very friendly and helpful as well (they spoke english). you can just spend the whole day in a hammock watching dozens of birds in the trees right in front of you. Everything was really close with nature for example a dry toilet but in the same time very clean. A very special place i fell in love with. Thank you so much! Very cute dogs as well!

From the amazing food (most of which they grow themselves or source nearby, and you can tell), to the location, surrounded by nature, waterfalls and swimming spots at your doorstep, our stay here was absolute respite! One of the best hostel I’ve been to. The hotel is amazing, you can take a walk inside the hotel, the nature there is superb. The view from the rooms are just unbelievable, it’s just like you’re in the middle of the jungle. You can also participate to free yoga classes and book a massage. The food is vegetarian, but very tasty as it is homemade and made with love. All the staff is very very kind and helpful, and a special thanks to Angie who is a really lovely person and will always be there if you need anything. They make you feel at home with your family. 10/10, I highly recommend this place to anybody wanting to rest and evade the real stressful world.

It’s a nice little town with a bunch of activities and places to go and explore, you will also find a lot of interesting characters between the locals and other foreigners that live there, it’s worth of it if you wanna discover more of the northern culture of Colombia and the beautiful spots this area offer.

Not really what I have been told.

Not really what I have been told. I was expecting an “hippie vibe place” but more than hippie it is a bit unkept. Try to spend time in nature but avoid the waterfall everyone one goes to. It loses all the magic and silence of the place.

BEWARE UPPER ACCESS ROAD as shown as only one by GPS Google Maps!!! Scary and if you have any incident you are 2 hours walk away from hotel... who will tell you as they did to us: you should not come here by car, and NOT via Upper Track. Use lower one at La Vittoria.... Food on site is average. Staff correct with no excess of smiles. Room fine - no hot water so better a swim in pool than cold shower 😳 No hiking trails only the access roads Clientele around 30´s with a noisy group on 1st evening

Lazy Cat Restaurant is a surprising and excellent find. Minca is backpacker 20 something heaven. Lots of green. I suppose there are some great hikes. Once you have seen a bit of the world it can get repetitive. I probably would not go back. 2 days is more than enough (of course depending on your situation and expectations). Yet another good place to meditate and be with nature.

It was an unforgettable experience walking through nature, seeing the rivers and waterfalls. The variety of birds, the tranquility of being surrounded by so many sounds, breathtaking sunsets. I truly enjoyed the whole experience and place. Will do it again, highly recommended.

Lovely place to see birds, swim in some waterfalls, have some good coffee and chocolate on farms, get some craft beer. Very hot though— stay hydrated and pack sunscreen. I would recommend this place and advise hiking around to enjoy the nature.

The cabaña was beautiful, clean and very spacious. There’s no AC but the design of the huts keep them really cool inside and it never got really hot. We loved the variety of the activities you could do there (we definitely recommend the cacao tour!) and the free yoga class in the morning. And the food was probably the best we had in all Colombia and still reasonably priced. We would definitely stay there again.

7Piedras was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia. The location is simply stunning with amazing views down to the coast and into the mountains. The accomodation and food were excellent and we were looked after perfectly by the staff. You have to book a 4x4 to get there since the location is very remote. This is also part of the experience and quite an adventure.

The location of this hostel is one of the best places I have been to in Colombia You will have a river all for yourself, many swings, nets, mattresses, chill out points all scattered around the place. There is a secret path where you will find a natural pool, a giant tree and many other natural goodnesses. You will also have a pool, and a nice bar.

Beautiful location. Hotel layout, features and the surrounds stunning! Loved the chilled communal area for sitting, eating, having a drink. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Net around bed. Minca is a great base for walks - first place we’ve really been in Colombia where we’ve felt safe to hike solo.
