The peace and tranquility you feel immediately as you step onto the terrace at the reception and also when you enter the room. There is a very pleasant atmosphere, which is naturally created by the nature and jungle you have a direct view of, but certainly also by Pierre and his team. The room is very spacious, clean, nicely decorated and with the sliding doors open, you feel like you are part of nature. The hummingbird literally rushes past your ears, and the ‘sounds’ of the jungle as soon as the sun sets are actually the only sound you hear. Right in the middle of nature and yet within walking distance of Minca. The location is therefore truly perfect! Everything is very lovely taken care of, even some facilities for making coffee, tea, or using a fridge. Pierre is very helpful, attentive, very quick to answer messages, and is happy to help you with all kinds of recommendations for tours or things to do and discover in the area.

Pretty much everything was exceptional from start to finish. If you were designing a hostel it would be like this one. The staff, the location, the vibes and facilities were all excellent. Very long to get to but 100% worth the effort- we walked from Minca and to Marinka is nice but does get tough after that.

Had the most fantastic stay at Hotel Hukumeizi. From the amazing food (most of which they grow themselves or source nearby, and you can tell), to the location, surrounded by nature, waterfalls and swimming spots at your doorstep, our stay here was absolute respite! We loved our stay here. The owners are the nicest and most welcoming family. We got a very nice and unexpected welcome gift which made our stay even better. The rooms are very cosy and the view from the terrace is just incredible. The location is a little far from Minca but you can always take a motor taxi. It was a great starting point for the loop hike to the viewpoint and through Marinka and Pozo Azul waterfalls
