Everything- comfort, location to the town centre and train and bus. The cottage is cosy and well equipped. Having arrived after a flight from Florence we were delighted to find a welcoming pack of eggs, bread,milk, butter and Scottish pancakes as well as abundant tea and coffee. Elise responded quickly to a small request and had also checked that we had accessed the cottage. Our twelve night stay was wonderful. Thank you Elise.

Spectacular view both inside and on the deck. Good kitchen with very basic pots,dishes and utensils. Close to Hi Bike,the E bike rental for riding the Canal. We walked to the centre of town.

Marianne was a wonderful host! She made us feel so welcome and at home. Her home and guest house was an absolute treasure, shame that we couldn’t stay longer. She provided us with so many helpful recommendations and we look forward to coming back one day. Would recommend to anyone, a very short drive to town too!

Secluded and very private. The hosts had everything set very well and organized and commicared very well without being the least bit intrusive. Very clean. The title of Little Getaway is very fitting. Everything you could need or want was all set for you and any questions you might have were easily labeled and or in the welcome folder or emails. All the features were exceptional.

This is an excellent place to stay. Whoever designed it thought carefully about what to include. Nice kitchenette with hot plate, toaster oven, small fridge and other facilities. Bathroom follows the current HGTV type layout so a largish shower taking up one entire wall and about a quarter of the room. Very clean. Well lighted. Many supplies provided. Windows and door look out onto a small yard and views down the hill. Owner very responsive to calls. If you have access to Internet, they’ll send good directions. Otherwise, you may have to call. Both my GPS’ gave incorrect directions (to different places). Stairs up to door so may not be appropriate for some with handicaps. Overall: five stars.
