The chalet looks just like the pictures and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed watching the birds that came down to eat the bannanas growing next to the chalet and had some incredible sightings of toucans. Although out of town it was easy to get around.

Had an awesome visit! There are SO many great sodas and places to eat at in town, we didn't necessarily want to pay for included breakfast. The kitchenette was perfect, and we could re-heat leftovers etc, but it really felt more like staying at our own place. We hardly saw another person (staff or guests, but we know they were there!) the whole time, and it was so peaceful. Staff was very responsive to questions via Whatsapp, and the instructions for getting in and out of the gate/ parking area/ keys etc were very clear.

The meals are a highlight—delicious, healthy, and hearty, made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from their garden. Every bite feels homemade and thoughtfully prepared. The lodge itself is a stunning blend of a forest and a botanical garden, teeming with wildlife, especially birds. It's a nature lover's dream. I highly recommend the night tour with Jay—it’s an unforgettable experience. Nohelia is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and Costa Rica as a whole, always ready to offer helpful tips and advice. One thing to note: the lodge is accessible only with a 4WD vehicle, as the last 3 kilometers of the road are quite rough. However, the journey is absolutely worth it. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Ecolodge Cecropia. If I could, I’d rate it 200%. Nohelia and Jay are truly wonderful hosts, and they’ve created a magical place that’s not to be missed.

The view is amazing ! Has everything as advertised. We loved having breakfast while watching the colibris. During the evening we had a firefly show and the visit of the biggest toad.

Situated in Boca Tapada, Boca Tapada Lodge features accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and river views. Amazingly beautiful lodge - an architectural gem. The rooms are spacious, super comfortable, with wonderful design elements. The outdoor shower is heavenly. The staff was super nice and the owner Alfonso went above and beyond to make us feel welcome - he even drove us to town to show us around. This was by far our favorite place in Costa Rica and we wish we had stayed there longer.

Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge offers 60 hectares of Cocoa farm and guests can enjoy tours, chocolate and bird watching. The accommodation features a seating area. Original idea to be in a finca for the stay. The chocolate tour was great and the nature around really is beautiful. We would have loved to stay more.
