The lounge area was used a lot as our family got together and had wine and nibbles and played games. The bedrooms were beautiful. Bonnie was helpful and friendly. Location was great. Breakfast was good.

Puddle Duck is a beautiful and quaint place I had the great pleasure of staying. A little gem! Beautiful gardens and parking is available. The lodge is beautifully presented, and I adored my room. The extra little touches made me smile, a rocking chair to enjoy my wonderful breakfast, which was presented in a hamper to my room at the requested time I asked for. The location is very good, quiet at night and not far from the town centre. David and Jenny made my stay extremely pleasurable, and I will definitely be booking here again in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at Brathay Lodge. The entire place felt incredibly nice and cozy. It is also conveniently located within 2 min walk to the Ambleside town centre, making it the perfect spot to explore the rest of the Lake District. Another major highlight was the excellent complimentary breakfast (8 to 930 am), which gave us a great start to our day. Highly recommend this lovely lodge for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming getaway!

The Lodge was absolutely beautiful the best one we’ve stayed in. The lodge was spotless and the parcel of drink and sweets and snacks was a lovely surprise.
