Beautiful views, and a very calm and relaxed place to enjoy Lake Atitlan from. Easy to catch public boats to explore the rest of the lake during the day, but also a very comfortable place to sit sunbathing or Strom watching. The apartment was spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful staff. The on site vegan restaurant was also very nice.

The view from the rooms is absolutely beautiful. They look exactly like the pictures. The kitchen is clean and organised. The staff were kind and so caring. When I accidentally left my bag at the property, they personally came and brought it to me in the town! The rooms are private and secluded - perfect for a quiet getaway!

We loved our cabin and would love to come back again! The staff are very attentive and will go out of their way to bring you what you need including laundry and meals. Big thank you to Daniel and all the staff! The cabin is gorgeous and has the most amazing views, the outside garden is so unique and relaxing. We got a private boat directly to the cabin so finding it was no problem (for boats, it is right next to the Nature Reserve in San Marcos). Host very very responsive on whatsapp. Our best accommodation experience ever!!

Bobby the dog is one of the best amenities :) The property and location are beautiful, and upon check in it was clean and well stocked. We were greeted by the housekeeper and her son upon arrival on the dock since the property was in a remote location and best accessed by water. Lolita and Antonio were warm and very welcoming, making us feel at home. The indoor space was well curated and designed especially considering the small foot print. Also, Juan and Emilio the super quick thinking lancha pilots recommended by Dushinka the property owner really saved us in a jam. Be prepared with exact change (cash GTQ) to pay in full at check in. Although not ideal, the need for cash payment was apparent from reading prior reviews and confirmed by Dushinka the property owner.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Awanima in January. The road to Casa Awanima is not to be called a road, but a concoction of rocks and dirt. But once you enter through the gate, you are in a completely different world of calm, relaxation, and joy. It is so remarkable how Kenzie (absolutely wonderful host and the owner) made the piece of jungle into a piece of paradise. We stayed in the main house. The room has a huge balcony with a hammock and chairs, and most importantly the phenomenal view of the lake and surrounding volcanos. Even from your bed you can enjoy the perfect view of a sunrise on the lake. The room has a toilet and a sink. There is an outside shower that you reach by crossing an open door kitchen. Yes, it might be quite surprising for many of us- the kitchen has all the parts of the true kitchen, but it is fully open to the outside, no doors. If you want to make your own meal, all is at your disposal. But you also can indulge into fantastic local cuisine for breakfast and lunch enjoying wonderful view of garden, lake and volcano. The garden- it is so well maintained and so rich in various plants and herbs (which you can use for your morning omlet or cup of herbal tea) that you do not need to leave the property if you just want to relax and enjoy the day. There is beautiful deck for yoga and the best part - the sauna and a cold plunge which you can enjoy in a complete privacy. I booked this place for three nights without having prior reviews, and I am so happy to say that it exceeded my expectations. Five stars honestly!

We loved staying here we extended and stayed for and additional week. The view is amazing and has wonderful areas to sit and relax to see the lake. The The cabin is well equipped with all amenities, hot shower, comfy beds and a stocked kitchen. We would like to thank Brieuc for having us and for all extra his help with our trip.
