This place is awesome. Full disclosure, you are WAY in there - like, on the hillside. The road getting in is super bumpy and hilly, so not for the faint of heart nor for a SmartCar I wouldn't think. We were in a midsize crossover and it struggled a bit. But once you're in, it's awesome. There are just a couple of buildings, with the amazing treehouse as advertised, and we stayed in the smaller, newer building which is basically on its own private property or section of the larger property. 2 bedrooms, one bath, not much else, really. A small table where you can grab a meal together, couch for 2 where the kids sat and decompressed (after their time in the treehouse) while we made one dinner onsite. Which I recommend if you want a glass of wine, because I was not willing to do the drive in - and all of the gates and locks - after a nice glass of Nero D'Avola. So bring provisions with you! We read, and took note of, that gem of advice from other reviewers and it's critical. But actually the supermarket in Nicolosi is awesome (IMPORTANT NOTE: you want to the Supermercati Deco at Via della Quercia, 24/A, 95030 Nicolosi because the other ones that maps suggest are all closed) and convenient, and so that's a quick and reasonably convenient option. But we hiked, toured the lava flows, kids had a blast in the tree house and on the grounds, and we did Mount Etna one day and Aci Castello (recommend!) another day. Great base camp, nice property and building and just what we wanted to do a couple of days of convening with nature. Fun with kids.

Armando's enormous hospitality and charisma was a true highlight of our stay. His passion for his region and culture was absolutely inspiring and helped us to learn more about Sicily. The house was stylish and well-maintained with a beautuful big terrace (offering a lovely panorama!) that was a wonderful extension of the indoor space, perfect for relaxation. Armando was not only a great host, but also an amazing chef. Breakfast was simply amazing, tasty and fresh, we loved that he used local and seasonal ingredients from his garden to make it. We would highly recommend staying at At Armando's Home to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Sicily. With Armando's hospitality, cosy apartments, and delicious breakfast, you're sure to have an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Armando! Hope to come back and give another try to hike Mount Etna if the weather permits!

Villa dei Marchesi Carrozza ligger i Santa Teresa di Riva, 6 minutters gang fra Spiaggia Santa Teresa Di Riva Strand og 14 km fra Funivia di Taormina - Mazzarò Station, og tilbyder indkvartering med... Det var som vi havde set på billeder, måske lidt mere interimistisk håndværk, men alt virkede og det var rent og pænt. Værten snakker lidt engelsk og morgenmads damen KUN italiensk, så man klarer sig efter bedste evne. Vi boede på den ene kæmpe store værelse, toilettet/bad var på gangen, men der er sat en væg op så det er ligesom om at det er privat. Først tænker man, hvad er det, men efter kort tid er det helt normalt. De andre 2 værelser har toilet og bad på værelset.

Case Monte Arso -Etna sud est- ligger ca. 24 km fra Piazza Duomo og har en terrasse, balkon og udsigt til en have. Dette chalet har en have, grill, gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. The house has an amazing view and is very well equipped. We absolutely loved the sauna! Our hosts, Domenico and Alessandra were very welcoming and made our stay very special. Also the vicinity to hiking spots and the Etna summit were a great plus. Make sure to ask about the options to order wine and a tagliere for your stay. You won't regret it.

Chalet Vista Etna ligger ca. 49 km fra Funivia di Taormina - Via Pirandello Station. Her er terrasse, kaffemaskine og udsigt til en have. If You like a nature, pease and quitet this is an ideal place to stay. A fireplace inside. Laura the host is a wonderful person. She left delicious cookies from her factory for us and showed me amazing pistaccio tree growing from the stone. Great experience.

Etna Chalet Nicolosi ligger ca. 20 km fra Villa Bellini - Park. Her er gårdhave, kaffemaskine og udsigt til en have. This was just like in a movie. Amazing views and very cosy and clean interior. The kids had a blast playing in nature. Will be back for sure!

Milonghita Apartment Ortigia ligger i lige i centrum af Siracusa. Her er en balkon med udsigt til byen. Fantastisk beliggenhed i meget hyggelig gade med gode restauranter og barer. 50m fra bystranden og havkig fra balkonen. Meget venlig og hjælpsom vært, der var meget fleksibel ift. check-in tidspunkt og meget hjælpsom med oplysninger om parkering m.v.
