We did spend a night in this house during a roadtrip and it's surpassed our expectations. The rooms were very clean, spacious and the facilities were impeccable. Most of all we loved the hospitality of the Host. We came to a late time and he reserved a restaurant near by for us since many stores were already closed. The provided projector was nice for watching movies together.

The surrounding scenery is absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful. It was also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, which made exploring Kyoto a breeze. Highly recommended for a great experience in Kyoto!

Also, the proximity to Toji Temple as a nice surprise.
