Akira and his family/staff could not have been more welcoming hosts. Akira personally picked us up from the bus station to bring us to the lodge and gave us a tour on arrival. We were able to check in early and hit the slopes at Goryu (<10 min walk). Hakuba Third Place Lodge’s private onsen was heavenly - we used it every day after snowboarding and it was never close to booked up. The room was clean, beautiful, spacious for what we paid and had great natural light. There was a cozy communal lounge space to play card games or watch shows that we actually took advantage of due to the welcoming atmosphere. The breakfasts were also great - my girlfriend is vegetarian, and they went out of their way to find a protein-filled replacement for the meat portion of the breakfast. Akira also gave us restaurant recommendations, helped us book our return bus to Tokyo, and even checked with another local before leaving us at the bus station to confirm we were at the right part of the station. I would have paid twice the amount in the United States for half the service we got here. I hope to be lucky enough to visit Hakuba again and stay at Third Place Lodge. I will be encouraging all my friends and family to stay here if they visit

Hakuba Amber Resort by Jade Group erbjuder luftkonditionerat boende i Hakuba med gratis WiFi och ett bubbelbad 12 km från Tsugaike Kogen skidområde. This journey was truly wonderful. Right from when I stepped off the plane, they arranged transportation, as well as bookings at restaurants, and shuttles to the ski resort. Communicating via WhatsApp was incredibly helpful and ensured that there were no issues during my stay, which was comfortable every day. The room was immaculately cleaned, and the daily breakfast was delicious. The high-quality interior decor and speakers made even the time spent indoors after skiing very enjoyable. The best part was having a hot spring in the room. Enjoying the hot spring amidst the snowy landscape was an absolute highlight. I will definitely book here again for the next season. The concierge team were truly fantastic and worked great.

The host is very friendly and provides adequate information before we arrived at the property. We select to have dinner at the property, and the food is high quality and very delicious. Location is in the quiet area with stunning view of the mountains. The fall foliage around the area is so beautiful.

We had a great few days staying in the chalet. It was quiet, clean, and conveniently located to access various hikes/trailheads, restaurants, supermarkets and other sites. The two bathrooms (one on each floor) were handy and we loved having the washer/dryer. The kitchen had everything you need for cooking, including oil, salt and pepper. The fridge/freezer was large. We liked the keyless entry system. Finally, staff were very responsive and helped us ship our luggage with Yamato to our next destination.

Just a 2 minute walk from Happo-One's Kokusai Slope ski lift and a 5-minute walk from Happo-One Ski Resort (Gondola) and Happo Village, Hakuba Landmark Happo Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi.... Great location: short 5 min walk to the lift and close to some good restaurants / izakayas. The staff was AMAZING! Polite, kind, spoke English, and helped us with all our concerns (transportation, TA Q BIN, tips on how to change mountains, Hakuba Valley Bus itineraries, and how to buy train tickets to our next stop). The food from the breakfast was another great surprise! We left the property with our hearts warm.

We stayed for two nights here. The owner is so friendly and the atmosphere is so good. Breakfast is included and very delicious. Although it’s not that close to the JR Station, there are a lot of restaurants nearby. We will definitely come back.

The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.
