Kele Yala is a boutique hotel situated in the dry zone in Kataragama. Jerome the property manager tries real hard to make your stay enjoyable. It’s a very peaceful place in a safari type environment. The pool is relaxing and enjoyable. The food was great. And since you are in the middle of nowhere it’s good to plan on having their food. It’s true it’s Sri Lankan food, so be prepared for limited options, but the quality and experience is incredible! We loved it! We felt completely safe eating and drinking what they served us. Which we didn’t always feel that way at other places we stayed at. Very thankful for that! We would totally come back again! It’s worth it for a calm getaway.

Wonderful stay with all the comforts necessary. Huge spacious rooms and fabulous food. Owner had even helped us arrange a safari for a reasonable price.

Located 400 metres from Tangalle Beach, Star Light Cabanas & Restaurant offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden. This place is magical. So peaceful in the woods with the waves breaking just a couple of 100m away. The hammock was lovely to relax in. Loved the location.

Koragaha Lodge is a beautiful property with everything you could need. Dinner was delicious and the pool area was lovely and quiet to relax in. Praveen helped us organize everything we needed for our stay, a safari and transport to and from the lodge when we left for our next destination.

Situated just 21 km from Hummanaya Blow Hole, Garden Oasis Rekawa features accommodation in Rekawa with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as room service. Such lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was wonderful, including fresh mango, pineapple and papaya from the lush garden. Rohan also brought us tea in the afternoon both days. The bed was super comfortable, with lovely bedding. A 15-minute walk or quick tuktuk to some of the most incredible quiet beaches I've ever seen. Would definitely recommend.

Situated in Kirinda, close to Nidangala Beach, Garnet Yala Beach features accommodation with garden, bike hire, a private beach area, a terrace and a restaurant. A lovely bungalow in a fantastic setting. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Listening to the sound of the waves from the veranda was incredible. Communications with Gayan the owner were excellent and he even sent us a pin location of the property once he knew we were on our way. He booked us a safari and also arranged our onward taxi for us. He couldn’t have been more helpful, even posting on something that had been left in our taxi. We ate at the restaurant next door a few times and the food was good and very reasonable. You can also pay to use their pool for 1500lkr. When we realised we couldn’t have breakfast there on the last day, Gayan and his wife provided the most delicious meal, we are still thinking about it!! We 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a secluded coastal getaway.

The way we were welcomed, the location, the cabin, the staff very generous with their time and smile. The food was real good. A special place to discover..

We had a lovely stay at Hazeloft. The place was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by peaceful greenery. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. Renting a scooter through them was very convenient and made it easy to explore the area. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.

I had an incredible experience at Jungle Haven Retreat! The setting deep in the Sri Lankan jungle is absolutely breathtaking. The staff was wonderfully welcoming and made us feel right at home. The houses were cozy and beautifully nestled in nature, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. One of the most unforgettable moments was the amazing dinner we had on the rock, with a fire burning beside us under the open sky—it was truly magical and unlike anything I've experienced before. The traditional Sri Lankan meals were another highlight—so flavorful and made with love. If you're looking for a unique jungle experience with warm hospitality and unforgettable moments, this place is absolutely worth it. I can’t wait to return!
