Comfortable, clean, modern rooms, a wonderful river to dip into, the most delicious dinner and a truly beautiful setting. The staff were also exceptional! Can not fault a thing.

Wadula Safari was amazing. We were greeted by the friendliest staff, taken for a walk around the jungle (where we saw monkeys, all kinds of birds, and lizards), and then served a delicious dinner. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with amenities like coffee, tea, powerful AC and a modern bathroom. They also arranged a wonderful safari with a guide, and helped us speak with and find our taxi driver.

Basseinivaatega Tranquil Wild asub Tanamalwilas. Kohapeal on restoran, toateenindus, suupistebaar, aed, aastaringselt avatud välibassein ja terrass. The whole place is amazing. The rooms are big, well equipped. The staff is super kind and helpful. They arrange for us safari trip. The park around the facility is nice and wild at the same time. Mango trees, green parrots, peacocks,…just few meters away is a pond with beautiful flora and fauna. We take also a trip with boat across the pond. The guy who was managing the boat is one big heart. Although he doesn’t speak English a lot, we learned a lot for him.

Set in Wellawaya, VR Nature Cottage CABANA offers accommodation with a garden, free WiFi, room service, and a 24-hour front desk. This lodge provides free private parking and babysitting service. Located close to the Buduruwagala rock carvings and Diyaluma waterfall. Shalika and his family were extremely warm and welcoming. The food was amazing. All fresh ingredients grown by themselves. If you're looking for a real Sri Lankan family experience this place is perfect. Also Shalika drove us to our next destination, the beautiful mountain town of Ella.

Terrassiga majutusasutus Nature Kingdom Botanical Garden asub Hambegamuwas, 3,9 km kaugusel Udawalawe rahvuspargist. Mägimajakeses on tasuta eraparkla ja toateenindus. My partner and I had the most amazing experience while visiting Nature Kingdom The resort is located in a beautiful area with lots of wildlife, which we really enjoyed observing in such a peaceful setting. During our stay, we saw monkeys, water buffalo, rare birds like the kingfisher, and we even spotted one of Sri Lanka’s big cats—the fishing cat—hunting for fish in the lake at the resort. The facilities are also a highlight. The owner has built them himself and has done an incredible job, I must say. The cabanas are very cosy and clean. Staying in a cabana in the middle of the jungle is truly a special experience. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy at the resort. We took part in an agricultural activity where we got to experience what it's like to work in a Sri Lankan field, learn about the organic practices they use, and pick our own papaya fruit straight from the tree. We also harvested beans from the plantation, which we later used in a cooking class with the host. To pick, cook, and eat food grown on the land where you're staying was really something unique and meaningful. We are so happy that we chose to visit Nature Kingdom and would recommend it to anyone. It’s a truly amazing place, and the people who live and work there make it even more special. This is an experience that’s completely different from a typical tourist trip.

Glimra eco lodge asub Hambegamuwas, Buduruwagala templist 50 km kaugusel. Udawalawe rahvuspark jääb 39 km kaugusele. Kohapeal on aed ja tasuta eraparkla. I traveled to this lodge alone and felt the entire time like I was visiting family. Roshani was so attentive, thorough and communicative. She not only provided accommodations but invited me on various cultural experiences so I could get a first hand experience. I highly recommend staying here!

Thanamal-villa asub Tanamalwilas, 34 km kaugusel Udawalawe rahvuspargist ja 26 km kaugusel Tissa Wewast. Kohapeal on konditsioneer ja aed koos grillimisvõimalusega. My favourite days in Sri Lanka. Peace, nature and a generous and warm host. The safari Prasad arranged was perfect - lots of elephants, a beautiful lotus lake, black- faced monkeys, lots of birds and only 3 other jeeps in the 4.5 hours. The rooms are clean, with a hammock next to a little stream, iguanas, peacocks, monkeys and eagles in the garden. Prasad's mum's coconut rotis are the best I had in my 3 weeks and the room and safari were great value. Thanamalwila has few tourists so unspoilt and the family will help with everything from bus bookings, travel advice to taking me to see a friends farm to see crops growing. The buses from Ella and Galle stop directly outside the homestay so it's really easy to get to. The safari is in Blocks 5 and 6 of Yala. If you want a peaceful safari then I highly recommend Prasad's place.
