Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the pool, Casa Cactus Buenavista is set in Bacalar and offers accommodation with free WiFi. Jasmin and Sebastian were lovely hosts and made our stay at Casa Cactus in Buenavista unforgettable. Everything is to like about Casa Cactus, from the carefully decorated room, to the food that is creative, delicious and fresh, to the garden with beautiful plants, a pool to refresh and attentive staff. To make the most of Casa Cactus I recommend having your own car (although the hosts can help with arranging a taxi). The place is perfect if you are looking to relax, lay back and enjoy nature, but also be able to get to more lively places like Bacalar which is 20-30 mins by car. Jasmin and Sebastian made everything to ensure our stay would be perfect and gave us great advice on things to do and visit to get a real authentic experience. (They suggested a nearby spot for a beach day on the lagoon. The spot was secluded, and felt very intimate and private, with the jungle in the background, it was a bless compared to the crowds in Bacalar. Furthermore Buenavista is a perfect spot to visit Bacalar, but also other attractions nearby like Mahahual, a town on the Caribbean side, the ruins of Chacchoben or doing guided jungle tour.) Be aware there's not much choice for eating out in Buenavista, but you won't need it with the delicious food prepared by Jasmin. We preferred having dinner at Casa Cactus because of how good it was. Me and my girlfriend had the best stay here and would definitely recommend it.

Savo lokacija, tvarumu, gyvenimu praktiškai gamtoje. 3 dienas praleidome visiškoje ramybėje (papildomą nakvynę užsisakėme jau tiesiogiai) gamtos apsuptyje. Neįprasti paukščių garsai, vandens čiurlenimas, užklydę vorai ir driežai iš pradžių kėlė nerimą, bet vėliau… apsipratome ir laikas tiesiog pralėkė! O pati Bacalaro lagūna pakerėjo savo neįtikėtinai skaidriu, turkio ir kitų mėlynų atspalvių vandeniu. Šie trikampio formos pakelti namukai pastatyti tik iš natūralių, vietinių medžiagų. Didelis dėmesys skiriamas tvarumui ir aplinkos išsaugojimui: saulės energija, kompostavimas, bioklimatiniai sprendimai ir 0 vienkartinio plastiko. Namukuose yra terasos, hamakai, lauko dušai ir vaizdas į lagūną (tiesa, tik 2 iš jų turi tiesioginį vaizdą ,,Sakti” ir ,,Amaru”). Čia atvykus pamirškite plaukų džiovintuvą, tiesintuvą, lygintuvą ar kt. daug energijos suvartojančius prietaisus, jų čia tiesiog nėra! 😀 Pusryčiai geri, baidarės įskaičiuotos į kainą.

Located in Bacalar, Pucté 13 provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Pucte is an amazing chill and beautiful place. There are only three cabins looking at the lagoon. It is very calm and quiet, we spent ours swimming with our kids and just looking at the birds. The cabin is spacious and nice, beds are comfy. We loved the design. There is a coffee machine and a refrigerator which was super helpful since there is no restaurant. But you can get good food in the guest house next door. Bear in mind it is about a 10 min drive to the town which we did about twice a day, for food, groceries or attractions. The staff was super nice. We would definitely come again!

With Xcalak Beach reachable in a few steps, Casa Cangrejo Xcalak Lodge features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The property was well situated for fly fishing. It had lovely views. Was large, and immaculately clean. It had great AC which is unusual in Xcalak! Breakfast was great, different every day, and served early enough to leave for fishing at 7.30 The beach was small but kept very clean and had nice chairs and sun shelter. The terrace caught the breeze in an evening and was lovely to sit there watching the pelicans.

Boasting a garden and views of pool, The Diving Lodge Downtown is a recently renovated holiday home situated in Puerto Morelos, a few steps from Playa Puerto Morelos. The perfect Mexican cabins on the beach! The location was perfect for us, we enjoyed the short beautiful ten minute walk to town every evening for dinner. You can walk along the beach or down the street. It’s perfect while on vacation, especially after eating a great dinner. The best bar on the beach with the best and most attentive bartenders and staff. They are warm and create a welcoming enjoyment environment. There’s a restaurant, a pool, and option to get massages on site. The Greek restaurant had their re-opening after their remodel while we were there, and we had the opportunity to sample their food. It was good, nice to have the option. The bar also serves food.

Cachito de Cielo Luxury Jungle Lodge in Tulum provides adults-only accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. The location is spectacular, for truly nature lovers. The space is well organised and has all facilities you need. The hosts are lovely and make you feel welcomed.

Set in Bacalar, Tucán Villages Bacalar Lagoon Front offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. The location is by the water, in front of one of the cenotes in the lagoon. Easy communication, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Set in Tulum, Yaxchen Tulum Cabañas & Cenote offers 3-star accommodation with access to a garden and a terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Quiet area of the Hotel Strip; doesn’t have direct access to the beach but is close to beach clubs; free access to the cenote; friendly staff; atmosphere; it’s a truly ecological experience.

The design of the property was stunning, and it was the perfect place to get away from the carefully packaged vacation industry, and into a setting closer to nature.

With sea views, Hotel Cielo y Selva is located in Punta Allen and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. We stayed in the glamping tents. Very clean and comfortable. Right on the beach . The staff was amazing especially Alberto. Would highly recommend this place.
