L’établissement est placé au calme , via un accès sur un chemin et petit à petit nous arrivons sur de jolies végétaux pour arriver sur le parking et la maison que nous avons personnellement adorée . Décoration très jolie, canapés et lit King ou Queen size très confortable. Salle de bain avec douche et baignoire . Petit déjeuner superbe avec un toast chaud , œufs brouillés et avocat, et jus d’orange , céréales etc…et j oubliais le banana cake ….l’hôte est très discrète et est gentiment venue nous saluer à notre départ….franchement un trop court séjour dans ce magnifique endroit .

L’établissement Hidden Lodge Queenstown se situe à Queenstown, à respectivement 4 km et 9,3 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Skyline Gondola and Luge et Lac Wakatipu. We stayed at Hidden Lodge Queenstown for three nights as part of our honeymoon, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The lodge is owned and run by David and Wendy, who was living on-site and personally care for the property. Their son was also around during our stay. Despite this, their presence never felt intrusive — instead, it reinforced how genuinely well cared for the lodge is. The views are breathtaking. With Lake Wakatipu in front and the Remarkables mountains behind, the scenery is even better in person than in photos. The lodge is beautifully designed with an open, airy layout. Both the rooms and common areas are positioned to maximise the views, paired with décor that feels luxurious yet relaxed. The facilities are also immaculate, and every room consistently smells fresh and pleasant — a small detail that makes a big difference. What truly sets Hidden Lodge apart is the warmth of the family. The service felt personal, attentive, and genuinely caring. Wendy was exceptional — proactive, highly organised, and seemingly prepared for every question, often with neatly printed information ready. She offered excellent local insights and gladly offered to help with bookings. David, an ex-chef, prepares breakfast each morning, and it was outstanding. Even a simple omelette tasted incredible. His warmth and personality also made breakfast conversations something we looked forward to daily. We even ran into their son while shopping in Queenstown CBD, where he was working at one of the stores. He was just as friendly and helpful, reinforcing the genuine family atmosphere. As animal lovers, we also adored Coco the dog and Enza the cat, who live on-site. Both are very friendly and added a lot of joy to our stay. The hosts were also thoughtful, ensuring the pets were only in shared areas when guests were comfortable. In terms of facilities, Hidden Lodge is absolutely five-star. However, the true highlight is the warmth and authenticity of the hosts.

Situé à seulement 10 minutes de route du centre de Queenstown, le Manata Lodge offre une vue imprenable sur Coronet Peak et les montagnes Remarkables. Stayed in the large studio which had the most amazing views. John the owner was so friendly and helpful - giving us good ideas of where to go and what to see. The studio had everything we wanted, kitchen facilities, comfy bed and sofas, sun loungers just outside our property and also enjoyed a swim in their lovely pool. The bathroom was well equipped and there are also laundry facilities available. Totally recommend staying here, it was absolutely perfect.
