Going to the forest with Mario was amazing. I saw In nature everything I wanted to see: snakes, caymans, numerous birds and parrots, slots!! They are so cute! The jungle exploration was fantastic. The same warm was welcoming by community. This is the lodge I defined advice! I was in couple places in amazon and here you really feel like you become part of amazon. But didn’t come to some commercial hotel. I like them but definitely not good choose when you want to explore the jungle! Camungo lodge in Livertad is perfect choice. And the comfort of houses was great! They are newly builded! everything is nice and super clean!

My guide Larry met me at the airport and we travelled to the lodge. Although it was 3 hours time went fast watching the landscape go by. It was dry season for my visit so unfortunately the river way very low and the lodge was not on the river as per photographed on booking. I do wish this was explained. Otherwise i had an amazing 5 days. The accommodation was clean, the food was ok. It was different everyday but simple. My guide Larry was exceptional. His knowledge of the jungle, outstanding, and his English was perfect. We made a plan on arriving for what it would like to do in my time. Highlight was the caiman night tour and lily pads.

Jacamar Lodge Expeditions ligger vid Amazonfloden, mitt i djungeln och 120 km från centrala Iquitos. Detta rustika vandrarhem erbjuder en mängd olika aktiviteter i floden och djungeln. Danny was the best tour guide. He took good care of us and gave us the best jungle experience according to our needs. We saw so many different animals (sloth, baby alligator, piranhas, dolphins, birds, wolf spider, firefly and many others) during a short stay, thank you Danny! Didn’t got mosquito bites at the lodge at all, (but be prepared at night in the jungle🤫). Last but not the least, the food at the lodge was fresh and simply delicious (I tried some fancy restaurants at Cusco but I liked the food at the lodge more!)

The Amazon Muyuna Lodge is an ecolodge in the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Reserve , situated on the Amazon River shore, 3 hours from the centre of Iquitos. Lovely setting that felt safe but also connected to nature. You’ll automatically get signed up for excursions with a guide shared between you and anyone else who speaks your language that arrived that day. About 1 out of 3 excursions will be hiking and 2 out of 3 will be by boat. 4d3n was perfect, but the most exciting excursions were captured in the 3d2n plan, and if you stay longer you spend a night camping. Food is buffet style, and they accommodate dietary restrictions well. Maybe we lucked out but January was a great time to visit! Highly recommend this lodge!

Denna lodge ligger vid Amazonfloden i Yanamonos kommunala reservat, 80 km från Iquitos. Här erbjuds rustikt boende och dagliga guidade utflykter till Amazoniska djungeln. Everything was perfect. The staff were amazing, the tour guide Antony was great. The food delicious. The room was comfortable. Recommend 100%

The food is excellent, the staff are amazing. It’s clean, the pool was great. Surroundings and to sit in the garden looking at the Amazon river watching the dolphins you couldn’t ask for more. Also the excursions laid on were out of an adventure novel.
