There was free breakfast and dinner for a modest price with several meal choices at the Shire. There is a variety of restaurants in town. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are massage therapists available for hire.

Our hostess, Claire, is a bit of an idealist endeavoring to create a real Ifugao experience for her guests. The guesthouse is situated outside the city center which makes it relatively peaceful. Claire is building a new kitchen and plan to offer traditional dishes. In the meantime Jose brings and picks up guests to/from restaurants in town. He is also a great driver and guide. We were treated very well by Claire and Jose!

Hos BAIA - Beachfront Boutique Lodge in San Vicente, Palawan i San Vicente er der havudsigt, en have, et privat strandområde, en terrasse, en restaurant og en bar. Maden var top klasse. Men det var tilsvarende dyrt. Beliggenheden helt tæt på stranden var helt i top. Den italienske ejer var meget behagelig og hjælpsom.

What a great place to stay on Palawan Island. The staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure that our stay was everything it could be. They even picked us up from the airport when our plane was delayed and we didn't arrive until 10pm. Jane is a good cook and uses fresh, organic vegetables that they grow themselves, so the food was delicious. Set in a beautiful garden, it's a peaceful place, off the beaten path, with only a few tiny shops and restaurants nearby, so you do need a scooter to get around, but that's part of the appeal. The room was well appointed, with space to hang and store clothing, and the ac keep worked well. We found the bed a bit firm but that's personal preference, otherwise is was quite comfortable.

Relax seaview chalet with AC and balcony ligger i centrum af Coron. Der er havudsigt samt en have og en terrasse. Det er den sødeste familie, som driver stedet. Vi havde tre hyggelige dage i deres bambushytte og blev mødt af en stor gæstfrihed. De hjalp blandt andet med at vaske vores tøj, hvilket var en kæmpe hjælp. Kæmpe anbefaling at bo her!

Orchrd Lodge ligger i Coron i Busuanga Island med Dicanituan Beach indenfor 2,4 km og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis wi-fi, en legeplads, en have og gratis privat parkering. Pænt nyt og rent, der skulle så lidt til før at stedet var 10/10. Fleksibel indtjening. Sødt personale.

Hos Villa Fria private beach cottage i San Vicente er der havudsigt, gratis cykler, en terrasse, en restaurant og en bar. Der er et fuldt udstyret privat badeværelse med bidet og tøfler. Our stay at villa Fria was one of our highlights for this trip. We were looking for a place to wind down and relax, away from touristy crowds and got that and more. The family running the place is incredibly friendly and helpful. You can order yummy food right there and eat at the beach which is super handy given that it's located a bit away from everything. That said the next town is just a 15 min scooter ride away, along with waterfalls and dreamy white sandy beaches if you want to explore the area a bit. We were staying in the cottage without air con (with fans) which was totally fine for us, the bed was clean and comfy and we enjoyed the outside shower/ bathroom. We only travelled with two big backpacks so riding from Port Barton with a scooter was possible (and seemed the best option), just be aware that the street isnt in the best condition for about half of the route. it's possible to do the trip in 30 min if you're alone with no luggage and comfortable riding on bumpy roads, two ppl with luggage took us more like an hour. It's also possible to hire a trike to get there.

Breakfast was deliciously made by Virgie and served to us in the lovely garden space tended by Lando. It gave us a wonderful start to our day. The lodge was in a great location. We were able easily to do day trips from there, visiting the different sites and the island hopping
