This location near the top of the mountain affords stunning panoramic views of the Douro Valley. The hotel grounds are fresh, green and meticulously maintained. The swimming pools are beautiful and clean. The onsite bar and breakfast facilities are top quality and very comfortable. Our room was very nice with our own private balcony.

Very friendly staff, very laid back approach to our coming and going (arrived at 23.30!). Excellent breakfast, picnic and evening meal provided. Fantastic location. Loved the free pool table. Climate control in every room is amazing at this price

A unique hideaway. Absolutely beautiful chalet, perfectly designed and presented. Everything you need, and more, beautifully presented. The location is just delightful. So private and green. The river offered unforgettable opportunity to wild swim. Beautiful walks. The breakfast hamper was a feast. Absolute treat, everything you’d want and more. The fresh fruit tasted amazing, bread, croissant cheese and ham fuelled us perfectly for our cycling tour. As if this wasn’t perfect enough the host went above and beyond to share the tourist highlights the area has to offer. I’m reluctant to write such a review as I fear when I book to stay again it will be fully booked!

Very friendly welcome from Luisa. Some lovely local fruit and vegetables and other food given to us to use. The accommodation and the kitchen have everything one needs for an enjoyable stay. We also tasted local wine produced by the family which is of high quality. The surrounding area is beautiful for nature lovers and Alijo itself is an attractive and charming town. Difficult to fault anything at all. Thank you.

Very quiet place in a little charming village. Beautifully decorated chalet with interesting arquitectural features and a cozy balcony. The pool and the chairs next to it were amazing to cool off and relax in a very warm day. Friendly owners and staff. We had a very pleasant stay!

This is wonderful place to stay and explore the Douro Valley. Really helpful staff, great facilities and we were delighted with our complimentary breakfast and daily bakery delivery. Lovely walk to the nearby waterfall. The restaurant is fabulous.
