Our stay at Denis’s Runway Lodge in Mahé turned out to be an unexpected blessing during a very stressful situation. Because of the disruptions in the Middle East, we were stranded on the island with very little clarity about our flights. Denis welcomed us with incredible kindness and treated us more like family than guests. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond. He picked us up, prepared the best breakfast we had during our entire stay in Seychelles, and constantly checked in to make sure everyone in the house was comfortable. His home was full of travelers who had also been stranded, yet Denis managed everything calmly and generously, taking care of each person as if they were his own guests. What truly stood out was how much he cared. He used his personal connections to help coordinate information with the airlines and later even drove us downtown to our next accommodation when our plans changed. In a difficult situation far from home, Denis showed remarkable hospitality, warmth, and generosity. If you are staying in Mahé, especially near the airport, I cannot recommend Denis’s place enough. You won’t just find a place to stay—you’ll find someone who genuinely looks after his guests like a brother. Thank you, Denis! The world needs more people like you!

What a wonderful place. We had the apartment on the left side, which has 2 spacious terraces and is very light. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The owner, who is a lovely lady, a perfect welcoming host, even had foreseen fresh eggs, yoghurt, water, salt, pepper, really perfect! The living room has a comfortable coach and the terrace nice relax seats. The apartment is brand new and has modern/light furniture. You instantly feel at home. Everything is present. We did not want to leave this place, fully in nature and 100m walk (very steep! ) from the beach. Parking at the property. I would rate it 11/10, strongly recommend. It seems far in the south, but the island is small, so with a car it only takes you 15 mins to go to the left side of the island.

I liked everything about this place, the chalets are supernice, they were surrounded by a beautifull plants and trees from the garden and they have a very cool terras that overlooks the garden and the realy nice pool where you can cool down on a hot day and chill! I liked the fact that you could see the local wildlife in the garden, from the pool or from your terras! The airconditioning on the room was also a plus it gets the chalet nice and cool. And ofcourse the owner and her team, Alexandra and Jerry, where aboslutely fantastic and really helpfull! I could recommend this place to everyone if you like peace and quiet because it is located on the calm and beautifull side of Mahé but you can get everywhere very easy by car!

Mountain Top Chalet is a recently renovated chalet in Victoria, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.

We stayed in the studio on the 2nd floor. Much bigger than expected (photos on booking.com were accurate). Very tidy, huge balcony and living room/bedroom area. Kitchen had everything, even a welcome pack for breakfast/snack and juice on arrival. Comes in handy as nearest shop is a boat ride away. Wendy and her husband are wonderful hosts, very quick to respond to any queries, which made planning our stay so easy; we enjoyed all the island details, coconuts and the botanical excursion, thank you again! Snorkeling was great-despite slightly poor visibility-saw turtles, rays and shark, easy to swim out to the right and to the left from the beach and just look for interesting fish, moray ells etc. There is also a kayak available and some other floating things.
