We spent some really great days at Jose's place. He is very nice and outgoing and always up for support. Besides, his English is great. For example he organized a guide showing us the rain forest and nearby waterfall. The nearby beach is also stunning. I can say that we came as guests and left as friends. Very kind regards to Jose and his team.

Casa de Andréa ligger i Santo António. Her er en have, gratis wi-fi og bjergudsigt. Chaletet ligger i et område hvor gæsterne kan deltage i aktiviteter såsom at tage på vandretur, fiske og snorkle. We found this amazing place on Booking and hesitated at first to book due to the location and incorrect old reviews - yes, it's a little further than most properties: but that just makes it better. I'm so incredible glad we stayed here. The location is beyond anything you can imagine, right on the edge of the national park but you feel in the middle of the forest. We made tapes of the sound because no one would otherwise believe you can hear so much animals! The massive tree in front has something of 'mother tree' in avatar and we spend hours just looking at in and all the live in and around it - its a world on itself - or on the bench in the front garden with a nice view on the ocean. The house looks brand new, is situated on a slope in a plantation garden (cacao, piment, vanilla and banana, fruits) and is recently totally renovated: perfect bed and mattress, rain shower, spotless and hyper clean well furnished rooms, a library, satellite tv (we had the view in front so did never use it), and all very warmly and beautiful decorated: you feel at home the moment you enter the door. It was also nice to have mosquito nets and protection everywhere - although we never saw much insects. It's crazy equipped, even a good working washing machine, charged flashlights, fans, a hammock with incredible view, cooler, all imaginable kitchen things, iron stuff... really all was available. The view on the forest from the big balcony is incredible, we did see all the typical and endemic birds, often the monkeys, flying bats eating the fruit from the mango and bread tree in front, parrots,... unbelievable to have this paradise in front. The beach is as beautiful as banana beach, but totally private and remote and just 10 minutes further on the road, snorkel there, the reef in front and around the rocky corner is crazy, sharks, turtle, manta (coral bleaching like all over but plenty of fish), you can also take a wooden cano and explore...
