Spectacular property with incredibly friendly staff. We were greeted warmly by Craig and Marcus who, along with the staff went out of their way daily to make sure we were looked after with our specific itinerary. We are lucky to travel regularly around the world over the past decade, and this is easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

Firstly, you realise you are staying in the most beautifully gardened guest house - coupled with a friendly greeting and some freshly baked muffins (wonderful touch of class!). The Nut Hut itself is very well equipped with plenty of utensils and other provisions needed for self catered accommodation - impressive. The communal lapa was awesome and such a nice place to relax by the pool or watch tv. Truly a gem of a guesthouse run by a lovely team/family! Can not recommend highly enough!

Located on the banks of the Doring River, Oudrif Strawbale Retreat offers eco-friendly accommodation 50 km from Clanwilliam. The clue is in the name. A total retreat. An escape. Bill and Jeanine have created a paradise. The chalets were beautiful. The staff were friendly. The food was out of this world. They are such good cooks. The highlights were the vegetables cooked over the open fire. Fire roasted cauliflower and beetroot. Mushroom cooked with peanut butter. The meat was beautifully cooked but the star of the show was the veggies. That being said, it was all wonderful. The work they do in rescuing animals and their love for the area stands out. Their pets made the stay even better. To see such wonderfully peaceful and happy animals speaks volumes when you know they’re all rescues.

A beautiful place for some peaceful days and an amazing night sky. The area is ideal for hiking and finding new ways through an untouched area.

Set on the banks of the Biedouw River, Enjo Nature Farm is situated in the Biedouw Valley in the Cederberg. The guest farm is 24 km from Wupperthal an 1 hour drive from Clanwilliam. Such an incredible place, a couple days felt like a week away.

The house is located by the little river and next to a large paddock where we had a lot of fun meeting the horses and their foal. The house itself has a lovely rustic charm and a large outside space for braai under the trees.

Decorated in African art and colours, Wolfkop Nature Reserve offers self-catering cottages 10 minutes drive from Citrusdal. Each cottage has a terrace with outdoor furniture. The view is exceptional! The jacuzzi was a bonus, and the bed was very comfortable
