Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. Most beautiful location. The view was breathtaking and the facilities were amazing. Friendliest staff, had such a great stay.

The location is breathtaking - perfect if you want some peace and quiet and have the feeling you are surrounded by nature. We were able to light a fire and sit under the stars. A dip in the natural pool was amazing after a warm day. Cute dogs and great affordable breakfast prepared with love. 10/10

We had a wonderful stay at Ndlovu Addo River Lodge. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, right on the Sundays River, with nature all around — birds, monkeys and a real sense of calm. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and thoughtfully set up for self-catering, with lovely little touches that made it feel welcoming and relaxed. Being so close to Addo Elephant National Park made it an ideal base for game drives, while still feeling private and tucked away. The eco-friendly, semi off-grid setup worked perfectly and meant no disruption from load-shedding. Overall, a genuinely special place — tranquil, well-run and excellent value. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

Featuring mountain views, Ikwanitsha Lodge in Paterson features accommodation, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The lodge is beautiful and very well equipped with everything you need as for example a fan for cooling and a heater and extra blankets. The lodge is equipped with a double bed, a working desk, a wardrobe, a kitchen and a bathroom. We especially liked the incredible view from the terrace. Ingrid was an amazing host, she was very caring and helpful. She booked great tours in the reserves around the area for us.
