This is an incredible top of a rural hill, sort like a hobbit retreat where Bilbo lives. Stunningly charming! Rooms are great, friendly dogs, burrows bellowing, roosters crowing, hens clucking, and relatively close to the Camino by car. A fabulous breakfast of eggs, scrambled and sunny side up, plus more. This was one of the super surprises. The rooms are in the very centre of the hamlet beside the church and situated above a really great restaurant (same ownership). Everything was spanking brand new and beautifully done. Maybe we struck lucky, but we had the biggest twin room of the trip so far with large, double-aspect windows offering delightful views across the rolling green fields and woods beyond the village. Bathroom was also large and super modern. Beds and pillows good, linen good, socket and shelving and light switches near both beds, chairs for sitting/putting stuff on, fully functioning aircon/heating, and a large shared terrace outside the room that would be nice for warmer weather. The restaurant was great with an interesting menu featuring good local dishes and ingredients and everything I chose was utterly delicious. The two brothers who respectively run the restaurant and the rooms are both exceptionally nice and it's a good place to practise your Spanish!

The host or owner was very welcoming. She went out of her way to make us comfortable and ensure we had everything we needed. For walkers like ourselves who were doing part of El Camino there were no nearby restaurants but we'd already learned that some of the village hotels we were choosing might only offer breakfast, which was the case here. But what a fine breakfast it was!
