Very comfortable bed, quiet location but after a long drive, it was necessary as I had an excellent night’s sleep.

Location is very rural. It is not in Nanteuil en Vallé as the address suggests, it is actually in a hamlet called Brillicq a short way beyond Moutardon. If you want rural peace and calm, this is the place for you. We gather the whole property can be hired for long stays in summer and there is potential for being able to house a large group.

Lovely Location, lovely hosts, very welcoming, with huge amount of information on the location and general area. Were also not imposing and left us to our selves. All in all a lovely place to stay and felt very welcome. Will certainly go back and will recommend!

Truly magical place. Situated on the beautiful chateau estate, you are allowed to wonder around as far as you like among the trees, parkland and along the Charente river. If you value contact with nature over modern facilities like Wi-Fi or multi channel tv it is the palce for you. The bed is comfortable, water always hot, fridge cold, clean towels upon request. People very warm and welcoming. Local honey - delicious. Holiday idyllic rural retreat.

Suzi and Jon (and Joop the dog!) are natural hosts and gave us a very warm welcome. We stayed in the 2-bedroom cottage, which was very spacious and well-equipped, making for a comfortable stay. The fire had been lit ahead of our arrival so we were cosy and warm. Suzi had offered us the option of dinner, which we had in the main house and saved us the bother of going out again after a long journey. It was a delicious homemade three course meal made with the freshest local ingredients (i.e. eggs from Suzi and Jon’s own chickens and venison from a neighbouring field) and was very welcome. We were travelling with our dog and Joop was a wonderful companion for him to run around the large, enclosed garden. There was also a lovely walk down to the river very close by. The arrangement of the property was perfect for our needs and Suzi and Jon made us feel genuinely welcome. We would definitely choose Les Granges de la Leigne again - we really enjoyed it.

Chris and Michelle's welcome and openness was wonderful. We had a long meal with them and explored all sorts of things like music and origins which was fascinating. Really great, and a beautiful venue
