Beautiful house and tastefully decorated. Bedrooms were comfortable for good night's sleep. Great location, within the farmlands and not far from the city. We loved the winter serenity, especially in the morning when you looked out of the living room windows and it was a bonus that it snowed the night before. We used Park and Ride to get into the city. Well equipped kitchen for cooking meals, we mainly used it to prepare breakfast. The host was gracious and prepared bread rolls, biscuits, milk and cornflakes - thank you! I highly recommend The Tanyard Barn!

Met by the host Margaret and shown around. Tea and coffee making and fresh carton of milk in fridge and scrummy ginger cookies left for us :-) . Good kitchen facilities for making dinner. Lovely furniture and ambiance, beds were amazing and all slept well. Showers good and towels very soft. Building full of character. Amazing stay and we will definitely be going back!

Everything was perfect, the location, the lodge were great. Rachael the owner went above and beyond for our visit. It was such a lovely quiet location. The lodges have absolutely everything one could need and are fitted to a high standard.

Everything was great. Real nice atmosphere, nice and complete room, great bathroom & bathtub. Good parking spot behind the hotel/restaurant. Great spot when you're looking for a night to spend on a road trip, as I did.

Highly recommend. Stuart and Caroline's space was perfect - nothing lacking, down to the delicious welcome scones. Modern space, comfortable bed, great shower, kitchen for self catering, lovely lounge area. Caroline, Stuart and the gorgeous four legged Betty were very welcoming. The village is delightful and there's an excellent eating establishment 'The Lime Tree' few minutes walk away. Couldn't fault this lovely annex - best bnb we've stayed in yet.

The lodge was absolutely spotless on arrival, there was a lovely welcome basket filled with lots of nice things. The location of the lodge was fantastic, just a short walk to the riverside cafe which is a beautiful spot for breakfast. It is also only about a 20 minute walk to and from Knaresborough centre, we were there 3 nights and didn't need to use the car once. There was plenty of space inside the lodge, the living area is really large, we had two extra guests for one night and it didn't feel cramped at all with four adults. We all really loved it and would highly recommend to anyone. We would definitely go back again 👍
