I loved that we were notified on the day when The Flat was ready for us. Any messages were quickly answered. As we were taking our dog, they let us know where the bowls and bed were located, and they left some dog treats. Everything was clean and tidy. We found the beds clean and comfortable. Easy to locate and not far from shops and can have food/takeaways easily delivered if you need to. If I need to stay in Carlisle again, I will definitely stay here.

Very welcoming host, every last detail has been thought about and delivered with care. The en suite bedrooms are very comfortable and clean. Fantastic views and we totally fell in love with Charles & Camilla (the emu's) We were looking for a relaxing break and this was perfect. Marj and her family couldn't be more welcoming if they tried. The hot tub is also amazing!! Relax and enjoy the scenery

The property is beautiful, and so interesting! When the car park was undergoing renovation in 2003, the excavation discovered the footings of an ancient Roman fort, built in 120 A.D., the largest along Hadrian’s wall. There is a statue and descriptive panel in the parking lot, highlighting the discovery. The hotel is very nicely decorated, also very comfortable and welcoming. My room was quite large, with a desk and chair, as well as the bed, wardrobe and en-suite bath. The breakfast was excellent, with an option to sit outside and enjoy the manicured garden with more statuary. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
