Perfect little hideaway outside of Killarney.. only 5 mins from the town.. beautiful surroundings and cosy home with everything you need for a trip to Killarney… Terry and his family are very welcoming and very nice to deal with… couldn’t recommend it highly enough… we really loved our stay…

Stayed at the stable house over the bank holiday on a motorbike trip, the house is immaculate pictures do not do it justice it’s amazing, Shane and Ciara couldn’t be more helpful left us milk for tea and coffees, made sure their was hot water for us, even offered to hold our bags for us after we checked out if we wanted to go on another drive can’t recommend them enough, will definitely be back.

Highest recommendations for the Torc Hotel and its wonderful staff. The location (Killarney) is an excellent launching pad for tourists, such as myself, who enjoy trekking throughout the southwestern Kerry and Cork peninsulas (Dingle- 25 min to Castlemaine; Iveragh- 30 min to Kenmare; Beara- 30 min to Knockduragh; as well as Sheep’s Head and Mizen Head- 2 hours to each point) but do not want to have to unpack and repack to move to a new location everyday. It offers ample, free parking and is just outside of the busy town center, which is a plus for me as it provides a quiet retreat. The hotel has full breakfast service for its guests and serves meals 7 days per week, even off-season. This latter is especially convenient as during off-season, it can be very difficult to find an open restaurant in the aforementioned areas. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Generous pours on beverages. The hotel is very quaint (still uses actual keys for their rooms) but the rooms have been updated with modern bathrooms and fixtures (everything is shiny and clean). The beds are luxurious (very comfortable mattresses and comforters). The wait staff (both breakfast and restaurant/bar detail) are super friendly and attentive. I’ve been a B&B-er guest in Ireland for many years, but for the above reasons, I think I’ve found a home away from home with the Torc Hotel. I will definitely be back every year!

the hosts were amazing. so sweet and so accommodating. we showed up way too early due to change of plans and we just wanted to see if we could drop of our bags but marese immediately cleaned the room for us instead which was so kind and appreciated. they made us feel so welcome and comfortable. rooms were so clean and comfy- great value for the price.

John & Kathy are the nicest couple. They were so welcoming and their B&B was lovely. Great location. The room was cosy two single beds for myself and a friend. Shower was great. Very clean. Breakfast was tasty and had plenty of other options on display if you didn’t want a cooked breakfast. Super friendly. I’d definitely go back.

After we discovered how to use GPS for this area, we found the location was great- not 20 km from everything: Only 6 km's. Get directions to next large city...killarney. Fine base to go to various locations. Good wifi. Good TV selection.

Anne and John were wonderful hosts. Made us feel at home right away and really helpful with planning driving itineraries around the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula as well as sites in Killarney only about 2Km from the B&B. Breakfast was deliciously served every day along with teas, juice and fresh ground coffee...Yum! Last but not least, and most important, we have made true Irish friends in John and Anne and look forward to keeping in touch and returning again soon.
