Isuru - the owner, his wife, Thakshila, and their son Ehas were fantastic hosts during our stay. Upon our arrival in Sri Lanka they arranged for our transport from the airport to the cabana and we were greeted with a complimentary drink when we got there. The cabana itself is fantastic, the front door opens up to a porch with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. Once we had left our bags, the hosts met us to give us more details on the area and the town. They told us about the recommended swimming areas and the main things to see and do in Galle. When it came to food, we were served homemade meals which Isuru and Thakshila prepared from scratch. It's needless to say that everything we were offered was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. As our stay coincided with New Year, they prepared a special meal with enough plates to cover the whole table. During the stay we had an accident and needed to seek medical advice.When Isuru found out, he cancelled his engagements, took us to the hospital, spoke with the doctors and came with us from pharmacy to pharmacy to find what we need. He was very very compassionate and made sure we were okay throughout the whole ordeal. This is not something one would typically expect but it goes to show just how much the hosts genuinely care about their visitors. We spent a week at Beach Rip Rap Cabana and it was hands down the best holiday we have ever had. Throughout the whole stay, Isuru and Thakshila would come by the cabana to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Even after we left, they stayed in touch with us to see how the rest of our stay in Sri Lanka is going and whether we made it back to the UK safely. I can't express how impressed and grateful we are to have received the service we did.

If your destination is Galle, then look no further; this is the perfect place to stay. Just a brief 5-minute bus ride from Galle Railway Station, it offers unparalleled convenience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family, warmly welcomed and cared for. The breakfast spread was a highlight of our 15-day journey through Sri Lanka, featuring an array of delicious offerings including fruit, coconut sweet rolls, pancakes, toast, eggs, fresh juice, noodles, and fried vegetables, all enjoyed against a backdrop of stunning beach and sea views. Opting for dinner was a decision we didn't regret; the noodles and rice curry were simply outstanding. With direct access to the beach, guests can relax, swim, and witness breathtaking sunsets framed by swaying coconut trees. For the ultimate experience, I highly recommend selecting a room with a beach view. The spacious, comfortable bed, amenities like a fridge, and excellent bathroom facilities exceeded our expectations. If I find myself in Galle again, this will undoubtedly be my top choice for accommodation. Your genuine smile and the heartfelt hug you shared with us as we departed will forever remain etched in our memories. Your warmth touched our hearts deeply, and we are grateful for your continued messages, checking in to ensure our safe journey home. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and caring nature.
