Surrounded by tropical gardens, this small beachfront property is located on Dickenson Bay, just a 5-minute drive from the shopping in downtown St John’s. We would like to say a big thank you to all at The Buccaneer Beach.! From the moment we arrived all the staff were fantastic. From organising taxis, car hire and trips out. Nothing was a problem. The apartment was very clean, tidy and of a high quality. The cleaning staff kept it immaculate. The gardens were superb and we liked the small information boards outlining what each plant was. Lovely swimming pool with chairs and umbrellas laid out but to be honest when you have got the Caribbean just steps away we found we rarely used it. It was such a sweet touch that on my wife’s birthday there was a card, flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us back at our apartment. Thank you all x
Located in Dickenson Bay, Vista Mare provides air-conditioned accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. This self-catered apartment features a garden and free private parking. The view is epic. An impressive sight every morning and evening to watch the ocean and life on the island. From the master bedroom you can lay in bed and look out onto the sea. The apartment was fully stocked in the kitchen,if you like to cook. I honestly had every utensil i needed which was fabulous. The freezer was stocked with ice which was perfect for my welcome drink of rum supplied by the fabulous and truly best host Simonetta. She was most helpful with recommendations around the area and I visited the restaurant she recommended (Stella) you two should go if you stay here, you wont regret it!
Suite Serenade nestles in the heart of the hotel district northwest of the capital city St. the agent for the property was particularly helpful in arranging for basic foods on arrival and sorting out car hire. maps are not available with vehicles and the roads are poorly sign posted so it takes a few days to find your bearings
This resort is set along the white sand beach of Dickenson Bay, Antigua. It features on-site dining, a freshwater pool and tropical gardens. Guest rooms include full kitchenettes. Staff was amazing, the rooms fantastic. The Bar also a great meeting place - people from surrounding hotels came to hang out because it's one of the last true beach bars. Amazing property, highly recommend it.
This stylish adults-only hotel is located just 0.9 mi from the ocean, in St. Johns. The Villas at Sunset Lane Boutique B&B offers an outdoor swimming pool, gym and free Wi-Fi. Where shall I start?! If you prefer personalised service in at beautiful location, look no further than the Villas at Sunset Lane if you are going to Antigua. The owner Ms. Jackie and her assistant Kishana looks so well after you. Breakfast (cooked to perfection) on the balcony overlooking the Caribbean sea is a wonderful start to the day. Then you can pack your beach bag and walk 10 minutes down to Dickenson bay, a wonderful beach with safe and easy swimming. Devon will provide sunchairs and look after you. Do not mind how some people write this beach gets crowded with cruise ship tourists. It they think 50 people is crowded, then they haven't seen an Italian beach in summertime! It will take you 15 minutes to stroll back uphill to the Villas, but there are also always taxis around. When returning from the beach, you will enoy swimming in the hotel's pool which has just the right size and was never crowded. We stayed in the North Villa, which had a fully equipped kitchen, very convenient. If you prefer eating out, we can recommend Stella's Restaurant right across the road from the hotel, an authentic Italian place. The owner of the hotel Ms. Jackie is a chef, and cooks lovely dinners for you on request. She catered well for me as I have food allergies and intolerances. She also does cooking classes. This lady is just amazing, so hurry up and secure your stay at the Villas at Sunset Lane!
very quiet area dominated by the large Sandals hotel next door, not too many places to eat at and the restaurant Salt Plage is expensive but unfortunately not very good !! Get a car and find other places in the nearby St johns (capital)
Dickenson Bay is a beautiful beach - white sand and turquoise water. Much quieter that I expected although we were there during low season- late April to early May. I thought there’d be more beach bars/restaurants but there was only one although one was being renovated. A lot of the front is taken up by a Sandals all inclusive resort.
Not much in dickinson bay per se but being on hill was the place to be much better as that is where the calm peaceful beautiful villas are and the beach is close and the owners will drive you and arrange pickup for $5 there and back so rudiculously good deal
Dickenson bay is a beautiful location with azure waters White sandy beach and some nice beachside bars However although the beach is the property of the local authority and open to the public Only a small section is available as the majority of the best beach area is used by Sandals Resort guests as their sunbeds are positioned there
Nice (pretty)beach/ lounge chairs bars/lunch spots w/ views. I spent the morning/afternoon swimming, walking the beach/ laying out/ chatting w/ other travelers I met. I had lunch/drinks at Coconut Grove on the beach. I just had my taxi drop me at the beach that morning and pick me up after lunch at the restaurant—nice morning/afternoon at Dickerson Beach.
