La Casita Naranja is one of my favorite places to stay. The volunteers are friendly and keep a great vibe going—relaxed, social, and respectful. The hostel attracts kind, easygoing travelers, and it’s easy to feel at home here. There are plenty of bathrooms, which are cleaned regularly, and small touches like occasional baked goods for sale at reasonable prices add to the charm. The location is ideal: a short walk to the town center, but far enough to avoid the noise that comes with it. This was perfect for me, though travelers wanting to be right in the middle of the action might prefer something closer. All necessary services—supermarket, laundry, pharmacy—are within easy walking distance, and the hostel offers discounts at many of them, so don’t hesitate to ask before running errands. I’ve returned several times this summer and always look forward to coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for budget-friendly shared living in a peaceful, well-connected area.

I love the people, the vibe, and the owners. Everything and everyone is amazing. They were there for every need, question o problem that happens. I like a lot that on checking they tell you the rules and expectations of each guest. So living together is nice and with clear expectations. It's a small, pretty, and peaceful town. Food is a bit pricey, but you can find good deals at the food stalls. The temperature in November is very pleasant. There are several places for hiking and trekking. 100% recommended.

It's a very pretty little town...

It's a very pretty little town...I loved it...it has great charm. I went to Puerto Patriada, although I went out of season. Lake Puerto Cene in El Barril...a very nice place...the food is highly recommended. It's easy to drive...I went by car. I didn't have more time.

We explored a lot, visiting various places in the area: El Hoyo, Epuyén, Lago Puelo, Puerto Patriada, and El Laberinto. We had delicious ice cream in Jauja. Plaza Pagano was beautiful at night with its lighting, as was the entire town center. We did a lot of walking.

It's not a wheelchair-friendly city.

It's not a wheelchair-friendly city. The sidewalks are made of flagstones (many are missing) – there are many uneven surfaces with steps, no ramps at the corners, and those that exist are mostly broken. It's easier to get around on the street. We had lunch at "ENTRE AMIGOS" – the service was excellent and the price-quality ratio was good.

I recommend El Tablón pizzeria.

I recommend El Tablón pizzeria. They have amazing stone-baked pizzas, as well as empanadas. I also recommend Jauja ice cream shop for delicious homemade ice cream. Downtown El Bolsón is quite busy at night, but it's not difficult to get around.

A beautiful cabana nestled in the natural surroundings of El Bolson. Everything there was handmade by the owner – from the garden pavilion to the entrance gate. Amazing! The owner was always very helpful and friendly. He gave us great tips for the town and hikes in the mountains.

Lovely, big room and bathroom, I loved having my own jacuzzi. The hotel is very small which helped keep noise levels down. The outdoor swimming pool (with a bar!) was lovely, I only used it once but it was so nice that it was heated!
