Hostel "La Casita Naranja" in El Bolsón provides adults only accommodations with a bar, a shared lounge and a garden. The hosts are amazing! I don’t speak much Spanish at the moment but I still felt so comfortable with them and really enjoyed my time there. Very clean and awesome set up.
Set a 6-minute walk from Pagano square and providing a garden, Cabanas Sublime Bolson offers accommodations in El Bolsón. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. Wow! Sooo glad I booked Cabañas Sublime the host was sooo amazing and warm with a bit of English. So good we stayed an extra night! Got the whole apartment for 5 for just the two of us! It’s was incredibly clean, new apartment with all you need away from home all utensils full kitchen large fridge! Beautiful bathroom with all new modern fittings! One of the very few wonderful showers that actually drain the water out properly! Great place to relax while my husband went running in the mountains! The upstairs view of the mountain was breathtaking... just lying in bed and seeing it! Reasonable price a must if you came here! As I wasn’t keen on the hippy type of accommodation offered around here! Also a must to El Gusto restaurant 5 mins away best eye fillet I had!
Departamentos Lugar de Descanso has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in El Bolsón, 1.2 miles from Pagano square. Karim and his family made our stay in El Bolsón fantastic! He went above and beyond, sharing some of his mother’s birthday feast with us and allowing us to do our laundry. The apartment is a great value with a super comfy bed and chairs to relax inside from the heat and a pool to cool off in outside. I would definitely recommend!
Located in El Bolsón, 3.1 mi from Pagano square, La Casona De Odile features a private beach area. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site. Everything I enjoyed the hospitality, the location (out of town still accessible on foot has a bus stop close by), the home made breakfast, the amazing huge garden with river access, river beach access and the opportunity to eat at their own restaurant or their home made snacks. The staff was amazing the place tidy and well organised. Hikes are easy accessible from there.

In less than 10 minutes by taxi, you can find a wonderful place, totally surrounded by nature. If you need to relax some day, here you're in the perfect place. Totally quiet, a lot of wood available for walking, sleeping, reading, drinking, or whatever you want. A good base for start your hiking to mountain and all the refuges you can find on this part of the valley. I reserved here for 2 nights but then i decide to remain for 2 more! Totally recommended!
Apartamentos Samaná offers accommodations in El Bolsón. These bright and spacious apartments are fully furnished and include free WiFi access. Great service , questions were answered right away and the host guide us in all our needs. Very recommend!!
El Bolsón is a quiet and beautiful place with dry, calm climate. For Patagonia, there is very little wind. The access to La Reserva Rio Azul for trekking is simple and there are many refugios (staffed huts) in the mountains to make camping easy. Also close to the national park, Los Alerces, and Bariloche/the lakes region, but quieter and less expensive.
Don’t miss nearby Lake Puelo . The lake has a sandy beach and unlike many lakes in Patagonia, it is warm enough to swim in. The park has several beautiful and easy trails right there too. Also, the feria artesanal which takes place three times a week in the center of town is interesting and worth a stop.
Many things were a tourist rip off (such as almost $30usd charge each way for a 15 minute ride to a nearby trail head). Most restaurants were overpriced with mediocre food. Tourist office very unfriendly, offered no information on activities and was "out of maps." Towns like Villa la Angostura and San Martin de los Andes are much friendlier, offer better value and are far more beautiful.
No snazzy, Gucci type atmosphere like 7 lakes region - still real and 'normal'. Lots of hippy types, working class stores, as well as some catering to outdoor tourism. Gorgeous area with some forest and/or gravel road hikes/ drives to miradors. Camping, fishing, kayaking etc opportunities, and a few lakes further south, as well as on the way down from Bariloche.
Spectacular scenery near the town...especially Lake Puelo and the mountains around it. World class. The town itself has grown from a sleepy, counter culture spot (by reputation) to another touristic local in the Lake District. Lots of cars, tourist shops, mediocre restaurants, etc. But very friendly people. We went in late March and a lot of places were already closed for the season. Most local craft breweries were hard to find and often closed. Once you find the hiking trails they can be spectacular, especially ones that afford views across the valley to the Andes. E Bolson must be spectacular in the fall. Use as a base for great hiking and camping.
Nice little town if u have activities planned if not one day is enough. Feria was nice but same stuff as ferias elsewhere and with current monetary situation in Argentina prepare to dig into your wallet.
This place is perfect! I kept extending the stay, it has an incredibly chilled vibe, a river with a beach great for sunbathing, a bar with craft beer and live music, comfy hammocks, yoga class, friendly dogs. Javi and his family and colleagues are extremely helpful and handle all inquiries professionally placing the customer's needs first. The best hostel I stayed in Argentina. Thank you ❤️
Everything! The staff were great, Mario prepared a traditional Argentinian Asado on our last night and it was incredible, we felt welcomed in to their great hostal! The double room was comfy and clean with a good shower. The garden out the back is superb with a mirador looking down over El Bolson. Really friendly dogs as well :) Can't fault it, superb stay!
One of the highlights during our 1 year of traveling! We could have stayed here for weeks and felt so at ease in and around our cabaña. Pictures do not do justice, you just gotta experience it for yourself. We visited Lago Puelo twice. Just too gorgeous. We also liked going to the market in El Bolsón.
We were allowed to check in early since we were moving between accomodations in El Bolsón. Our apartment was on the ground floor, relatively cool at night (we stayed during summer) and well equipped for cooking. We also enjoyed the pool and the free laundry we were offered. What a nice surprise!
Felicitas was very friendly and made sure we had all the maps and flyers we needed to enjoy our time in and around El Bolsón. She was also really patient with our beginners’ Spanish. The apartment is spacious, clean, well-kept and only a few blocks away from supermarkets and cafes.
Very well located, we were able to walk to everything we needed including one of the best restaurants in El Bolsón. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They loaned us a bicycle when we wanted to ride to a farm outside of town! We would definitely return, many thanks!
Great stay at La Casita for 2 nights with my husband and our 2 children (11 and 8). Martín is a great host and took time to explain many visits we could do in El Bolsón. When we asked where we could do our laundry, he offered to do it in his own house at no extra cost.
Ultra plush and cush, close to the cenro, quiet and Nil is an excellent host, helpful as hell and full of the vital local information. As fine as you'll find for the $ anywhere in El Bolson.
Extremely comfortable place. It is warm in the winter, the room is modern, clean and cozy. The owners are very friendly. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting El Bolson.
Every one was so nice, including our host that kept bringing us cherries from his cherry's tree and in general was very generous. Best value for money in el bolson.
Great cabin for our trip to El Bolson. Martin is very friendly and helpful. Very clean and good kitchen. Would highly recommend staying here.
Clean, well equiped and good central location in El Bolson. Normally a clear recommendation, if it was not for those fishy price tactics...
Really quiet and in a nice location, 3 km from El Bolson centre. The room and the bathroom were clean, the staff very friendly.
Clean and comfortable hotel. Friendly staff and good location.
When we arrived they had double booked our room. We stayed in this basement of a lady’s house a few houses down. It ended up being nicer because we had our own kitchen and private area.
Very nice and calm location, a lovely place to stay. Don't miss to jump in the river behind the hostel, it's crystal clear!
Very nice atmosphere for a restful getaway. It’s way out in the country. The owners run it as a family and they are very attentive.
Lovely cabañas, super cosy and the owner Roxana is such a nice, welcoming person!
