Beautiful place to relax, shop, chill and also partying. Very good vibe even though sometimes you come accross some intresting caracters but for everyone that knows and loves Byron, that is part of it.
Loved the serenity and the vibe at the Crystal Castle -20 minutes from Byron. Sound meditation was beautiful! Beaches and weather were great, people were friendly and I loved the live music in the laneways- had a real European feel about the place. Food tasted great, especially at the Cypriot restaurant and the cost was reasonable. Everything is within walking distance so it was great to take walks around the place. Will visit again!
Lots of beaches to visit. Parking is an issue if you drive, most beaches are busy & metered in Byron. The shops & eateries are great & varied in price range. Great for all travellers types. Would definitely go back.
Good location from bus terminal. Could use more housekeeping. And ac would be appreciated. Windows had to be kept open to allow breeze but the noise level from parties outside made sleeping difficult. Floors in room’s chronically sandy
Lovely place for ones who love surfing and beaches. Very lively and vibrant. It has nice restaurants also. The farm is a must before entering the beach area. And Cape Byron Lighthouse is another must.
We arrived during schoolies so it was full of young high school kids. We had lovely meals around Byron bay, the shopping was great! We visited Stone & Wood.., which is a definite 'must do, see & taste' & 'The Farm', where we had a great breakfast. Our final night we went to the Bang Bang Restaurant. Fantastic food, service was brilliant, cocktails were endless, the music was great, the atmosphere was buzzing & the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place. The weather was beautiful & we will be back over christmas this year. We had a brilliant time at Byron Bay.
Byron Bay
We stayed in the main 4 bedroom house at the front. The house was great, family friendly, well equipped and very comfortable. Unfortunately we didn’t realise we had booked a place on the very busy road into Byron Bay. From about 6am we were woken by the traffic each morning. It was quite relentless all day long. In the two back bedrooms not so bad. But in the two front bedrooms upstairs the traffic is noticeable from dawn to dusk. This was during school holidays, so in fairness can’t comment on the level of traffic noise at other times.
Byron Bay
This place was ideally set between great beaches and the centre of the Byron Bay culture. A great starting place for awesome morning walks to the Lighthouse and most easterly point of Australia. We loved that we were able to get easy access to many of the activities and eateries that Byron Bay has to offer without having to get in a car.

I stayed in one of the private F rooms, the room was great, balcony, good shower, fine bed, tv, aircon. Really enjoyed staying in a private room while also experiencing the hostel vibe. Obviously it’s more simple than a hotel but I was happy.
