Arts Factory by Nomads, hotel in Byron Bay

This unique lodge is set on 5 private acres of subtropical forest. Accommodations includes tepees, mixed dorms and private rooms. On-site workshops include drumming and fire twirling.

I was just curious about this hostel, but after a couple of minutes after my arrival, I was in love with this place! The water dragons were out, bush turkeys roaming around, and reception had this cute puppy in their arm. That alone made my day. Room was clean, bed was comfy, I slept really well after catching up with some other travelers.

First time to Byron Bay - absolutely loved it!

First time to Byron Bay - absolutely loved it! Super relaxing and very chill. The Surf House backpackers was the perfect accommodation for the relaxed vibe of my trip. Went to 'Dip' for breakfast each of the 3 days I was there. Can't wait to come to Byron again!

Excellent beach. Nice walks that are easy to get to. Flat so easy to walk around - plenty of good restaurants. Has other facilities like supermarkets very handy. It is a busy place so if you don't like lots of people it may not be for you.

Coming into Byron Bay was bumper to bumper traffic which put me off, it was the same leaving Byron Bay when we went off to do a day trip. I was told that it had gotten so expensive, the workers couldn't afford to live there so they lived out of town and commuted. Hence the traffic. I had visited Byron Bay before but the town, to me has lost it's charm. Too many high end shops have put an end to the sleepy, alternate lifestyle i remembered. Even the trip to see the lighthouse our parking was charged

Just a beautiful place and the markets were superb. And music at the beach was awesome. So many shops and all of good quality. Miss Margaritas the Mexican restaurant was beautiful and loved the walk to the lighthouse through Warrego Beach. And the solar train to Northbeach was so cool.

Not much I can say here that isn't said in a thousand travel blogs. An ex-locals advice. Grab a meal at Chiquita, Lightyears, Bonito and Bayleaf and you won't be disappointed. Go to the farmers markets for tastiest produce outside of NZ. Industrial estate supermarket is cheaper than Woolies in town generally, but Woolies has larger selection. Do NOT rely on Uber, their service is near non-existent in the area outside of absolute peak periods. Byron Bay Taxis are great, know their way around and can handle all size groups.

It is a charming little town with many cafes & restaurants & hotels (pubs), next to the big long beautiful beach. It is a relaxing place to stay a night a two to unwind. The food (breakfast & dinner) was fantastic - it make me think that competition is really great for providing the best! With so many of them in that small town, they have to stay on top of each others to survive. It's a good place to leisurely stroll around on foot or on bicycle - if you drive, 2 minutes can reach anywhere IN the town :) YHA Byron Bay is a great place to stay. The lighthoue at Cape Byron is a beautiful place to visit.

Nice modern hostel, felt like a hotel. Friendly staff, who organise social activities. One staff member changed the sunrise hike to accommodate for my stay! Lots of kitchen cupboard space for food and in the fridge and beds super comfy. Added bonuses, fire doors that do not slam, 2 pillows and luxury shower products in the bathrooms! Would definitely recommend !

The reception staff and cleaners were polite the whole time and I genuinely am not directing any negative parts of my review at them. I take my hat off to them and genuinely think that they would be just as capable of working in their roles at a 5 star hotel.
