The decor, the vibe, the cozy bed and convenience of amenities (pool and bikes). I loved the semi secluded entryway to my room and how spacious yet cozy the room was.

Such a beautiful location and people are so warm and friendly. I wish the weather had been kinder however we still had lots of fun. Lots to see and do and will definitely be returning. Fishes Heads is a fabulous restaurant, Crystal Castle for a truly holistic experience, crystal sound bowls, including wonderful gardens, amazing variety of crystals, and a wonderful cafe. Take away from Indian restaurant Bombay to Bryon is great in case of bad weather. Great shopping, also fabulous markets, got a gorgeous thai take away $16 each and we were stuffed, also lovely juices, mango, passion fruit etc, and they were sublime. Great crystals also from Rose Crystal I think. Check out clothing stores though as they do vary in price, (some are dreaming with over inflated prices ;)

Being a person who travels all over NSW for work, visiting Byron at least once a year, I find it is inherently over populated, with literally thousands of vehicles and people pouring into the seaside village killing any peace there may have been. 15 years ago when we first visited, it has become way over priced and over rated as a place to visit in Australia. There is no parking, what parking there is, Council charges $5 an hour! So people won't stay long in town. Be careful of tourist drivers, many drive on the wrong side of the road, pull out in front of you, speed around town and don't know the road rules. Not to mention the bike riders and pedestrians who are constantly on the road disregarding their own safety. Plenty of places to eat, bit hit and miss with quality, ask around and see where the locals eat. Drinking out can be expensive, some more than others. Look around for accommodation, it can also be hit and miss, unfortunately there's not much under $180 a night and that doesn't mean it's good.

My friend and I stayed at Byron Bay for 2 nights with the intention of going to Crystal Castle, which is only 20 mins drive from Byron. We went to CC, but wished we had’ve spent a few more days at Byron Bay for a look around. The beach is beautiful, people surfing and swimming and having fun. Lots of people in the park, singing, guitars, groups playing games etc. It’s such a wonderful vibe. I would highly recommend the Bali Bagus cafe/warung for breakfast, lunch or coffee. The staff and the food are amazing! Just across from the beach. And at night, there is a part of the street which is closed to traffic, which have some of the best food I’ve had in ages. Korean, Thai, Fish and chips and heaps more. I’m visiting again soon, for a longer stay next time.

We totally enjoyed our stay room great, breakfast all we required, location great, pool fantastic. Could have used a couple of hand towels and wine glasses if I really want to be picky otherwise everything was just how we like it quiet. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

I love Byron Bay, it's just a lovely place to stay.

I love Byron Bay, it's just a lovely place to stay. There's so much on offer or you can just sit back and chill out. If you want to have a totally different experience, book a forest to beach horse ride with Zephyr Horses. Whatever level of rider you are, the guides are amazing they take heaps of photos and are with you all the way. You actually get to ride your horse in the surf - it's a truly magical thing to do. On the long weekend, traffic is very congested though and metered parking is everywhere between 9am - 6pm at $5 per hour. Suggest booking your restaurant in advance so you don't miss out. Saved the best for last - If you are looking for an amazing breakfast try Dip Cafe in Fletcher Street. The coffee was perfect as was the crepe with berries, caramelised banana and vanilla bean gelato - I know gelato for breakfast, but YOLO! The house made hollandaise was exceptional. Can't wait to go back to Dip - Score 11/10

Great place to stay despite the weather not being great for our stay. We would definitely like to visit again. I had a fabulous facial at Azula Beauty during our stay. Great meal at Bang Bang restaurant as well.
