Simply an extraordinary place in the middle of nowhere and nature, reached after a long and hazardous drive. Lovely guestroom with very nice furniture - a bit small though, with not many places where you could lay out stuff. Had quite some luggage, so would not have wanted to share the room with someone, not even with someone close. No TV in the room - and no need for it, as you can chat to the visiting parrots on the verandah and enjoy the fabulous views, go hiking or bird watching - which is the most amazing thing at O'Reilly's. (I recommend a hat and long sleeves for parrots landing on you.) If you don't want your room serviced (Green Card), you get a free drink at the bar. Delicious food, sparkling O'Reilly's wine and super friendly staff at the bar - which is like a restaurant, just a bit more casual. (Didn't try the buffet at the restaurant.) Free bird walk early in the morning, what an experience! Free afternoon tea, manager talk with free bubbles. Very welcoming reception. Didn't use it, but was at the Infinity Pool - it looks sensational, and the view! Over all, could have stayed there much longer than two nights. Simply outstanding. Tip: Best to go there during the week because more traffic on this extraordinary access road (blind corners, hairpin curves, one-lane sections etc) can be exhausting. Locals told me that O'Reilly's can be quite overrun on the weekend.

We loved this spacious accommodation. Full size kitchen, dining and lounge area and comfortable beds with lots of room for our family. The hosts were lovely and the house was equipped with everything for a really comfortable, private stay. The location was perfect and we were able to easily explore Mt Tamborine. We appreciated the coffee machine, teas, coffee's and milk. We highly recommend Berghoffen and will return when we come back to this area. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

It is a great place to be if you want to be peaceful and quiet or if you feel that it is time to go back to nature for refreshing and refocusing. Allow at least 45 minutes to get to O'Reilly and ensure not to travel in rainy or stormy weather conditions.

We went to a wedding at O'Reillys Winery, so the hotel was a perfect spot to stay. The town was great. We had breakfast at the Outpost on Sunday. The service was excellent and the food was great. The locals in the Hotel on both nights were very friendly and we had a good laugh with them. Everyone we met was very friendly.

The room we booked for my Mother and I was just perfect as it was spacious and very nicely presented. Good TV and effective Air-conditioner. The modern Bathroom had a large shower and no problem with quick hot water. The bed was most comfortable and fresh. We dined in the Restaurant just down the stairs. Food and Service was Superb. Great place to stay for the night.

Great little town.

Great little town. We had breakfast the following morning at "The Outpost" cafe which was very enjoyable. Quite a few cafes in town, people were friendly. Cute wee Church (St Lukes, I think) Not too far up to Mt Tamborine and the drive up to Canungra was very pleasant.

Interesting place to visit with lots of outdoor recreational things to do i.e cycling, fishing, swimming in lovely fresh water creeks. Village has some great shops and several cafes serving up good food. it's quite amazing to find so much unspoiled natural beauty so close to the Gold Coast . An ideal spot for anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing time.

Canungra had grown a little since our last visitsome years...

Canungra had grown a little since our last visitsome years ago. All the facilities you would expect of a small country town, and very welcoming people. We had a delicious lunch (recommended by our host) at the Ninja Ginja japanese restaurant in the main street. Parking was pretty hectic (expected, over Christmas).

The perfect getaway to visit family in the area. Lovely, leafy and private at the end of a cul de sac but easy walking distance into Canungra. Nice pool to enjoy on a hot day - with recliners. We had a lovely room at the end of the verandah where you could enjoy breakfast, meals or drinks. A super comfy queen bed. Very friendly hosts and relaxed environment with an inclusive light breakfast which we enjoyed daily in a shared dining area.

The room is clean and big with the mountain view. The swimming pool is surrounding by the tree, you can enjoy the sunset here. The hotel is very close to any walking path, it is easy to go tree top walk or falls walk. Although it is far away from city, but it is wonderful to take vocation here.

We really enjoyed our stay all the staff at the Hotel were fantastic. From Check in and onwards. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was great and the facilities were very good, very clean rooms/bathroom and the communal area was a great idea.
