Very happy with management staff, the lady at reception was very helpful and kind. Cleaners are so professional that everything was done perfectly. We caught the train to Canberra then a coach link to Cooma.

We caught the train to Canberra then a coach link to Cooma. We got off the bus and were so happy to see the town of Cooma. There was plenty of shops and cafes as well as within walking distance from the Motel. We were going there to visit the snowy mountains and had made reservations for the Cooma coaches to transport us to the snow slopes each day. That was easy! On a budget the whole trip was so enjoyable and I cant wait to do it all again!

Beautiful Town, a visit to Mount Gladstone early morning to see the district and some snow. The fantastic Correctional Facility Museum crammed with a lot of information, run well by the delightful staff there. Raglan Gallery I missed going to Charles Davis gallery which is something to do next time. Great breakfast at 123 Cafe. Lunch with a friend at the Ex-servicemen's club ...delicious food and very friendly staff. The drive to Cooma is also delightful. I would like to have done the Railway museum but it is open on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Saturdays (next time). A shame the rail is still not operating ...Love Cooma...so much more to do.

Good stop over town or place to stretch your legs.

Good stop over town or place to stretch your legs. Has a lovely historic town walk, great cafes, bakery and the pub is good too. Some good clothes shops, craft shops. Not to forget the historic Cooma Gaol is still in use. A picnic on the Murrumbidgee River and walk along the river is always worth it.

Cooma has a beautiful park right at the shopping centre.

Cooma has a beautiful park right at the shopping centre. There is an abundance shops selling everything one could need or wish for. There are many good places to eat from snack level to three course meals. We always enjoy Roses…..a mix of Lebanese and other Mediterranean food.

Town itself was average; Pub meal was $160 for 2 adults and a teenager and was average too. The town itself was missing a lot of shops and nothing really to look at or do, we would never stop here again and there are better service towns in better locations.

We paid for a superior king suite and got a basic small room...

We paid for a superior king suite and got a basic small room with a king bed which took up the whole room. I could not reach the hotplate or the microwave I am 155cm and it was unsafe to stand on a chair. Very disappointed that the restaurant was not operating and the bar not licensed.

We picked family up from the airport in Canberra Friday afternoon and drove to the Redhill Cooma Motor Inn for a 1 night stopover. As we were arriving outside Office Hours a code was sent through to us to access the Locked Key Box. The Motor Inn was easy to access and had car parking in front of our room. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. The bathroom was dated but plenty of hot water. We ate at the Chinese Restaurant across the road which served tasty dishes. Would definitely stay at the Redhill Cooma Motor Inn again.

The Snow Season Motor Inn is the first motel you drive pass coming into Cooma, with easy drive through to the room parking from the main road. The room was very dated, yet the shower pressure was good, there was a small fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster. The bed mattress, was surprisingly comfortable, despite the pillow being on the hard side. It is about a 20min walk into town from the hotel, paved most of the way.

Exceptionally clean amd well presented. Perfect base for exploring the snowys. Room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. We normally stay at airbnbs but The Altair Motel was a lovely experience compared to other motels we have previously stayed at. We will definatley keep this place in mind for a future stay. Staff are lovely and ensured we had a key available for our late arrival.

This was an inexpensive hotel, about 10 minutes from the centre of Cooma. I basically used it as a place to sleep. Everything worked as it should have and the room was a reasonable size. I would stay there again. The service station where I got the key provided a discount of fuel for motel guests.
