We were very close to all facilities including the beach, the pier for the ferry travelling across to French Island and the mainland, and the shopping Centre. We noted quite a few facilities catering for meals with a range of prices.
Accomodation was walking distance close to shops and restaurants and beach, we had a beautiful dinner at Pino's Trattoria, we went shopping, coffee was good at the Cafe, saw the penguins, awesome board walk, Amaze n things was fabulous didn't expect to stay that long but was so much fun, didn't see seals, chocolate factory was great too, enjoyed morning walks on the beach
The accomodation was the best value for money and well presented We are a fan of Cowes and stay often This was an impromptu visit just to get away for the night. Loved the eateries for dinner and breakfast and can see Cowes continuing to grow as it has done progressively over many years. There is always plenty to cater for all tastes and activities. Loved the Pasta place but others are also tops. Loved breakfast at the other end of the main drag. Good to see the pierhotel site being redeveloped
It was very good did all the attractions on the Island that we came to do ( Penguins, Churchill Island, Koala Sanctuary and Vietnam Veterans Museum.) Weather was brilliant, and walked several miles each day (2 days) along the coastal walks.
Cowes is a lovely sea side town great in all seasons. There is so much to do on Philip Island from sightseeing and wildlife to boating fishing and water sports. Churchill Island is attached to Philip Island and has a historic homestead and daily displays of farming including sheep shearing displays, milking cows, sheep dogs and blacksmithing. Well worth a visit. There is also the Philip Island motorcycle grand prix track, the penguin parade and the seal rocks seal colony to visit. Cowes itself has plenty of shops and restaurants with pubs and cafe's overlooking the beach. A great place to hang out anytime.
We actually know Cowes quite well. Good beaches, good restaurants. We especially liked the French Restaurant in the centre of town, left hand side going down the hill, called "Anerie" Fantastic Entree and Main, we had the Scotch filet, excellent, one of the best I have ever had., Also enjoyed views of the water.
This is a terrific property in a great location. The location to the beach, which was also dog-friendly, was excellent, and we had many a late afternoon walk to take in the sunset which was spectacular. Also an easy 20-30 minute walk into Cowes along the beach or a 2 minute drive. The house has heaps of room for our family of 6 to spread out, with very well appointed kitchen with plenty of cups plates etc and good appliances. Plus there's a great enclosed yard for the dog.
Great Host. Very Helpful. Great Location an setting, especially for those that like a country, bush feel. The walk into center of town is great for those looking for a little exercise (approx 3km). Facilities available at the resort were very good. The bar and service was exceptional. Probably get a little crowed over summer but what resort wouldn't.
Cowes
The property was in a perfect location - it was walking distance from the main centre of Cowes. It was clean, comfortable and inviting. We especially loved the heated blankets in the bed as it got quite cold at night and the spaciousness of the place. The owner, Anne, was also delightful to deal with. We loved our stay and we would come back again.

We booked 3 Apartments and they were all large and well appointed with decent sized balconies. Heaps of space for the 15 of us. The apartments are very close to the main street of Cowes and one street back from the beach. When we couldn't get power to the air conditioner, they sent a guy immediately to rectify the problem.
The hotel is very close to Cowes (5 min drive) but in a very quiet environment, each villa is really independent from the next one, are very clean and has all what is needed for nice weekend, and the facilities (pool, tennis, bike...) are really nice so that all the family can enjoy the stay.
I really enjoyed my stay there because it is very near to shops and resto. Their owner is very helpful and friendly also. The room is clean and bed is comfy for us. Best place for philip island cowes hotel so far after these several years holiday :) 🙏 thanks
