We loved the way we were greeted and taken to our room and explained everything. We loved our balcony as you could look out the main streets and see everything. The location was exceptional, although we walked around the shops and food places, we had tea both nights at the hotel which we enjoyed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was clean, secure (Which is important) and tidy.

We enjoyed wandering through the village and stopping to browse in the local shops and particularly the galleries. The bakery is a lovely traditional bakery and we really enjoyed the dinner service at Bistro Terrior. We had some lovely walks along the lake and the goldfields track and enjoyed visiting the convent gallery. We ventured to Hepburn Springs where we visited the various mineral springs as well as stopping for a drink at the Hepburn Springs brewery. We also visited Maldon which has a very different vibe to Daylesford and really enjoyed our lunch at the Good Food Providers in Main Street.

The property is perfect.
The property is perfect. Avoid Farmers Arms pub we did not have a good experience and very disappointed. Walked the main town so many options. We were celebrating a mile stone parents birthday so it was more about catching up with family and this location is middle ground. We did visit the Chocolate Mill very delicious, Hepburn Springs Brewery, and had the most amazing catering of food and private event room from Spade to Blade for the birthday event (vegetarians you will not be disappointed) but the meat side was great too.

Walking the dogs around the Lake was a great experience for all concerned - and a great pleasure that the Lake was within easy access - no need for the car.
We had a wonderful meal out on the Saturday night at Bistro Terroir.
And a wonderful brunch at Cliffy's.
We went to the gallery cafe for an afternoon tea and had a thoroughly lovely experience of the service and the setting. The gardens are beautiful and the gallery was fun.

How can you not love the place it is a very beautiful place.
How can you not love the place it is a very beautiful place. Coming from the Mornington Peninsula all my life I did notice that some of the locals and shop keepers weren't that friendly. (Not over the top bad but noticeable). A great place to just relax

Daylesford is delightful and worth visiting - in any season.
Daylesford is delightful and worth visiting - in any season. We were there in mid-Spring and the weather was still crisp in the morning with beautiful clear days to enjoy the vast foliage colours and spring flowers.
While the township offers some great dining (woodfired pizzas at the Daylesford Hotel were 10/10 and The Boathouse was exceptional), shopping, and art (The Convent Museum) experiences, it did seem to be unexpectantly quiet and lacked a little bit of life.
Definitely worth at least a 2-3 night stay to enjoy the surrounding areas.

To be 100% honest I booked this hotel as this was one of the last remaining on bookings.com at the time I needed to secure a room. I’m so grateful for this happy accident as this was the best sleep I’ve had in months. I’ve been raving to my friends about the bed, linen and shower. It was pure luxury. As a self confessed hotel snob, I’m still amazed by how luxurious and comfortable our stay was for such a reasonable price point. Kudos to our hosts, they’ve done a fabulous job of curating a beautifully, well appointed hotel
Beautifully presented and styled cottage, with great facilitates and amenities. The gas fire provided wonderful ambiance and warmth. The location is an easy stroll to the main street of Daylesford - which provided ample dining and shopping options. Highly recommend the woodfired pizzas (the pear, prosciutto and rocket was10/10) at the Daylesford Hotel and the fine dining experience at The Boathouse was exceptional. The Convent Museum on Wombat Hill is also worth a look.
we loved everything about our stay! the location is perfect, nice and close to the Main street of Daylesford, and so close to surrounding attractions and wineries. so close we walked to diners and lunches! Brian and Tim are very welcoming, they made the most incredible breakfast every morning and every detail had so much thought to it. The bed was so comfy and the house and room so beautiful. nice and cosy but with plenty of space to relax. Highly recommended!
Great location. Room was nicely appointed with classic styling in rich vibrant colours. A lovely boutique ambiance. Great bathroom with spa bath. Nice outlook from the balcony.
