Hotel in Devonport
Gateway Hotel By Nightcap Plus is conveniently located in the heart of Devonport and the Central Business District, just 13 minutes' drive from Devonport airport and 10 minutes' drive from the ferry... The room was perfect for a family of 4. A king bed plus 2 singles meant our 2 big kids (15 & 11) didn't have to share a double bed. The room was just the right size and had everything we needed for a short stay.

Just 4 minutes’ drive from Spirit of Tasmania Terminal, Argosy Motor Inn offers a restaurant, a bar and free on-site parking. Room was satisfactory, but overcrowded for a couple. The space used for extra beds would have been ok for a family, but without the extra beds the space would have been better suited for table and chairs for work or even TV viewing.

Offering private bungalows with free Wi-Fi, Abel Tasman Cabins Devonport is located alongside East Devonport Beach and Saint Georges Park. Guests enjoy lovely gardens and a large BBQ area. This is a van park, I stayed in a wooden cabin which had a carport for my motorcycle. The cabin was spotless and charming. The Spirit of Tasmania loading dock was just 3 blocks away and handy for the morning sailing back to Melbourne. This was indeed an excellent place to stay as you have several choices of accommodation. Would certainly stay here again.
Great place to spend a quiet trip away from the busy city. Lots of good birdwatching and nature walk opportunities within minutes from most accomodation. Great views from the Mersey Bluffs and the seaside. Quaint yet quality local food stops such as Libby's Cafe and Central Bar + Restaurant.
If you are catching the Spirit you arrive in town, easy access to any accommodation. If you have a car it's not a long drive to go ANYWHERE. And if you have a car it doesn't matter how long ANYWHERE is it's always a beautiful drive, plenty of opportunities to get off the highway. The people are very (genuinely) friendly, always happy to help, have a chat and point you in the right direction. Devonport is just a small seaside town with a big heart
I liked what I saw I was right on the river so could see shipping in and out. Paths are good yo walk on.its. nice place to visit. I stayed at the Formby and the food is delicious. Was easy yo walk around devonport or you can easily grab. Taxi

Apart from being the arrival point for the ferry from Melbourne, it is well located to explore most of northern Tasmania. The area is a foodie paradise and it's close to the great northern beaches as well as the Mole Creek caves and the lovely, historical towns of the interior.
Delightful surprise. If seeking accommodation close the Spirit for morning departure, this place exceeds expectations. Very clean and updated rooms with comfortable bed. We arrived around 6pm the night before travel and walked to the Bistro which served a great meal. Breakfast also available. Would stay again.

Helen and her team are so amazing! This is my favorite stay in Devonport. They are super friendly and helpful. And if you want a microwave just ask! Everything you need in the room. TV, kettle, toaster, iron, split system aircon, complimentary cereal, bottled water and small milks. Two minute walk to the beach, a short walk into town to cafes, restaurants and shopping centres.

Location was fantastic because we were there for sport at the East Devonport Rec centre, rooms were quite a bit more upgraded than what we were expecting and it was great value for money.
