Located directly on the banks of Tasmania’s Mersey River, Discovery Parks - Devonport features a children’s playground and a games room. Fantastic location, cabin was clean and comfortable. Loved the fact that our family dog could come on holidays with us. The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow and playground. Some lovely walks nearby. We will return!
The Grand On Macfie is a bed and breakfast in Devonport that features barbecue facilities and garden. Featuring a shared lounge, this property also provides guests with a terrace. This is an exceptional property and an experience to be savored. The furnishings are luxurious and yet comfortable, in a tasteful antique style. The rooms are spacious and again decorated in an amazing way. The breakfast was the best I have ever had in a BnB. Hospitality of Paul first rate as well. Highly recommended.
Located on the Mersey River, Dannebrog Lodge offers free WiFi, free breakfast and a guest lounge with a fireplace. The property is a 5-minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania Docks. The owners are really nice. The location is good. Breakfast was great!

This is about Devonport TASMANIA!!!! Lovely river estuary - a short industrial segment then a large bay and Tasmania beyond. Lovely transit of huge ships across the front lawn. One RORO freighter left for Melbourne and the Spirit of Tasmania I and SeaRoad arriving on the Sunday morning. Amazing
Devonport was very central to visit the many coastal towns, we also used as a base to visit Cradle Mountain but be aware the winter weather dictates which attractions you visit in the winter. The supermarkets were nearby for self catering. Parking in the CBD was 1/2 hour not very helpful . I personally like 1-2 hours to look around. The local people are very friendly.
There was lots to do if you like nature and have a car. 10 things to do around Devonport will sort that out for you. Levan Canyon, Preston Falls, Kaydale Gardens (stay for lunch or morning and afternoon tea). Great home cooked meal.
Great recreational and green areas. Beaches are very nice and the city is undergoing development to further enhance its attractability. Great Irish pub and the shopping is ok. Walkway along Victoria Parade is very good for walking or bike riding. Only 1 hour from Launceston.
We travelled around for a week in Tasmania and we had a fantastic time all the place we loved and the weather was perfect Devonport is a great place to start and finish a holiday the coast line is beautiful
Used East Devonport Caravan Park and Barclay Motor in. Both provided excellent facilities and service, nothing wrong with this place. Recommend Bass Straight Museum. Very Pleasant stay for two nights each end of tripe. East Devonport Caravan park was still open despite late ship arrival.
Whilst the cabin was clean and functional it had the bare minimum in crockery and utensils, I have stayed at parks that provide those little extras like a teapot, extra mugs etc that add so much more to your comfort. I did raise with admin that the tin opener was antique and that I wasted 2 tins of food in a vain attempt to open them. It is a shame as even the caravan park at Bruny Island provided more comfort in terms of those extras. I also paid for a superior cabin at Devonport hoping for better utilities.
A pleasant accommodation at the back of a cafe. The owners provide great service and communication, free transfers from the spirit of Tasmania just made my trip much easier! The included cooked breakfast was great, well cooked and ready as you arrive for breakfast. If the anyway to stay in Devonport, then come here.
The beds were soooo comfortable and the room had all the basics you would expect from a hotel. The shower has nice and hot with great pressure and it was easy to walk to the main restaurant and shopping areas. Free parking was great amd checking was easy with friendly staff.
Lock box access for keys was ideal. Very close location to the Spirit of Tassie ferry (<1km), as well as pub and restaurant (immediately across the road), and town centre. Good sized kitchen, dining, lounge as well as covered outdoor area. Gated parking also very handy.
We felt at home as soon as we walked in, this house has been beautifully and thoughtfully decorated with families and travellers in mind. High end quality fixtures and touches and we will definitely be back next time we're home in Devonport. Thanks guys, a great house!
The location was a little bit out of the city away from all the busyness of Devonport, perched on the side of a cliff over looking penguin nesting sites, comfortable, clean and gorgeous amenities! And an amazing team that ensured we had a very comfortable stay!
The hotel was quite easy to find and is walking distance from the bus station. It was also near the small pedestrian shopping street/center of Devonport. The staff was helpful and there are a number of shops nearby to find something to eat.
The owners were very nice & friendly and the property was perfect. Breakfast which was included was amazing. I will definitely recommend The Grand on Macfie to anyone looking to stay in Devonport.
Liked the off street parking. Bed comfortable. House had been renovated well. Proximity of hotel across the road was good & access to Spirit of Tasmania was excellent.
Close to Spirit of Tas terminal and other amenities. Bistro attached. Free car parking. Easy check in. Very nice bathroom facilities.
Second time staying here and no complaints. Great pool, great service, clean facilities, close to boat (spirit of Tasmania)
Location was convenient but not overall very appealing, vacant hotel across road and down a side laneway.
Early Breakfast for Spirit of Tasmania customers was very much appreciated.
Beautiful view of the lake, spacious, comfortable modern and clean
price. clean. fridge was on
