As well as a petting zoo, great for kids to feed the animals.
We hired a house on the beachfront for a party of 7 in anticipation of our wedding on the beach. We ate at Lufra Hotel the night before and had a private chef on our wedding day. We visited Port Arthur the day after our wedding. Didn't spend too much time in Eaglehawk Neck itself but what we did see was beautiful.
This was a return visit for me having been a long term resident until quite recently. The area is fantastic with so many wonderful sights and I left only because I was unable to maintain my bush property after a drunk driver left me disabled.
We have visited the peninsulas for many decades and love to return. Each time one sees the sights in a different light, depending on the season. Unless you intend returning better to allow a few days to properly take in the whole of the peninsula attractions.
If you have your own transport it is very easy to explore this area, and there are some fantastic sites to visit. There are plenty of activities, but the scenery itself is reason enough to travel here. Port Arthur is worth visiting again and again, and the Pennicott boat tour around to Tasman Island is fantastic.
This is a fascinating coastal area, full of history and natural wonders. The Tessellated pavement, Dog line, Tasman Arch, Blowhole and Devils Kitchen were just tremendous. They are all easily accessible and the information boards very instructive. It is a quiet little backwater with just a few tourist facilities, not many places for a meal but fully recommend the Lufra Hotel. The sunrise over the ocean was just beautiful.
We loved the views of the beach and feeling of remoteness. The bed was super comfy. We really liked the layout of the place - it felt spacious and really functional. We only wish there was an iron available as we were attending a wedding. It was also very hot in our room during the day - to the point where we had to have the doors open because it was hotter inside than outside - but then we had lots of flies - a fly screen would have been great
Location which is very near the Tessellated Pavement, fascinating views and awesome sunrise
Excellent on every category. Beautiful property, superb location.
