It was a memorable stay for me and my partner and fur baby. We did so many beach and country drives and explored so much. So relaxing.

I love the mighty Clarence and Maclean. The shopping centre.
I love the mighty Clarence and Maclean. The shopping centre. It's old buildings. The foreshore of the river with plenty of picnic areas. The artwork under the mighty bridges on the support poles.
Visit Ulmarra whilst you are there.

The Motel recommended a number of local places to eat and I chose the Argyle Hotel. It was bright, busy and I had a great meal for a reasonable price. I also made sure to let them know about the recommendation from the motel. About 1.5 klm from the motel, I got to see the town and it is very pretty. It was raining on and off so only had a chance for a brief look but I liked what I saw. It looks like people are trying to improve the look of the place and it is succeeding.

It was interesting to discover the History of this little town. enjoyed the Fed buildings dotted about; enjoyed seeing the Scottish Heritage clues - Tartan painted telegraph poles, bilingual street names. enjoyed seeing the denominational cemetery and how even in death the different religions like to be separated! Interesting to drive through sugarcane country and to see the majestic Clarence river up close!

Maclean was a small nice town and it is really close to Yamba in NSW, recommend for a weekend short stay with family and friends, walk around this small town.
Recommend Botero Cafe & Roastery, their coffee and fruit & nut toast were super nice.

We came for the October long weekend and stayed Saturday...
We came for the October long weekend and stayed Saturday night. We arrived early so we could see the town but sadly most things closed at 12pm or some things weren’t open at all, leaving us with 3 hours of having nothing to do and nowhere to visit for 3 hours until we were able to check in.

The location is right next to the Clarence river and 10 minute walk into Maclean shopping area. The motel pool was c;lean and the water warm. Hotel offered many EV chargers. There was a price to use of $20 for the duration of the stay (overnight), and I was happy with that.

A very new, clean and well equipped cabin in a handy location. It was a perfect easy stopover on our road trip north. The managers were very friendly and helpful. Can highly recommend Maclean Riverside Cabins for a short or long stay.
