Highly recommend the Walk Talk Taste Margaret River - Brunch Tour with Kellie. Supporting local businesses, whilst indulging in local produce and learning about local history. This was a great way to see the main township by foot. The walking distance is easy and not at all difficult.
There was much more to this town than I was led to believe. Full of all the relevant retail facilities including two full size fullservice supermarkets. The shops were also open across public holidays which was nice to see. Nice range of restaurants and cafes both in and around the town. Plus elements of the historical significance of the town and surrounds was there too
Margaret river is a lovely relaxed and friendly place to visit. We stayed in Grape Juice Studio's which we would highly recommend as a nice place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable with a lovely spa bath in a private enclosed courtyard. Checking in and out was a breeze. We always love to go to The River Pub which has an excellent outdoor area to sit and have a drink & a meal. We always enjoy the food here. The fish curry is sooo good!! Our favourite place for breakfast is the Drift cafe as the food and service are excellent. We usually drive out to the 'Colony Concept' to fill up our honey jar, and no visit to Margs would be complete without a visit to the Chocolate Factory and the wineries!
Margaret River is always a great spot to stay. The addition of new stores such as Cotton On and Ghanda made the shopping experience better for the children in our family. Trying to find parking is a bit of a nightmare in busy periods.
Margaret River town was a lovely place to base ourselves. Visited wineries and Geographic Bay and other beaches in the Margaret River region. Highly recommend La Scarletta Trattoria Italian restaurant- wonderful food! Busselton was a highlight and all the lovely beaches. Will definitely return!
The main hotel is closed. The tavern is not open for meals every night. Prices are more expensive than in Perth. We had a great wine tour with Bush Tucker Tours. The worst part of the holiday was being charged twice for my accommodation. The owner /manager was unapologetic and after many emails/texts I finally had my money reimbursed, It seems he does this regularly. The property should be removed from Booking .com
Rosewood Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay. The gardens are just gorgeous, and that whole place has character. We really enjoyed our weekend away. Jane and Keith are both just lovely hosts, that both looked after us. The breakfasts were delicious. It's a short walk to "The River" which has great food and atmosphere, plus live music. Walk another 10 mins or so and you're at the main street of Margaret River. When you return you can enjoy a little nightcap.
Our host Sabina was lovely, very knowledgeable about the area and directed us to some new places to visit in and around the Margaret river area. Was always available . Loved the log fire and hot tub. We both felt very safe during this covid time. Room was spacious and clean . Breakfast was plentiful . The surroundings were very peaceful , with kangaroos visiting ,just what we wanted . Will definitely visit again. Thank you Sabina and Brad .
The apartment was a great size, very clean, and handy to walk to all the great places along the Main Street in Margaret River. The Elkamo restaurant directly downstairs was fantastic also! Great food and cocktails.
We were allocated unit 1 on the ground floor which was good. The bed was comfortable and the shower was as we expected. The facility is within walking distance of all the main St amenities in Margaret River.
A cosy and compact chalet with excellent amenities. The bed is comfortable and clean. The place is in close proximity to town centre. We will stay there again next time when we visit Margaret River.
It was a great location and comfortable cosy house. Nice and secluded, and very easy navigation in and out. Self check in and check out made it very comfortable and easy for an introvert like myself!
