Stay Margaret River offers spacious guest rooms in a quiet garden setting. This 4-star hotel is an ideal base for exploring the Margaret River region. My friend and I have stayed here before and enjoyed the room with breakfast during our stay. One night we had dinner in the restaurant whilst the other two nights we met with friends in the town area. Will definitely return next year when the Margaret River Open Art Studios are on.
Set among landscaped gardens in the Margaret River wine region, Grand Mercure Basildene Manor features spacious rooms and suites, a swimming pool, sun terrace and tennis court. This hotel is on the outskirts of Margaret River - a 5 minute drive to town. Great grounds and having the heated outdoor pool is perfect
Just an 8-minute walk from the river, the Margaret River Resort offers air-conditioned rooms with TV, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and an on site pub serving meals and local wines. Great room, very comfy bed, awesome bath! Nice restaurant and bar. Check-in out of reception's hours was very easy and well explained. The property is few minutes walk from the main road with all cafes and restaurants.
Located in the heart of the Margaret River wine region, Margaret River Tourist Park features a swimming pool and free BBQ facilities. All accommodations offers a kitchen and a flat-screen TV. Good location. Quiet. Great two bedroom well equiped chalet. Comfy beds. Price surprising reasonable. Not a negative for our stay at all. Will definitely visit again.
Adamsons Riverside Accommodations is set among beautiful gardens in Margaret River's town center. All rooms offer free WiFi. Guests can enjoy a shared courtyard with wood stove. Great location at the start of town. Lovely reception staff. Fabulous accommodation, the room was a good size, bed was very comfortable, as were the chairs when watching TV. Tea, coffee, milk & biscuits supplied as well as fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster. A huge library of DVDS & books are available to borrow for free as well as tourist info. Il

By far one of the best regions of Western Australia and only a short 2.5 hour easy trip south of Perth city. With so many choices of accommodation, in winter we love staying within walking distance to town or at least a very short drive to avoid kangaroos, alternatively in summer, the beach and seaside areas are fantastic. With so many decisions on where to eat, Elkamo restaurant in Margaret river town was superb, whilst the Berry farm, Olio Bello, The Sea Garden cafe and many others (too many to list) all provide quality food and beverages. If staying in town, a few days is a great stay duration, if exploring the region, then allow yourself around 5 days to absorb everything in. There's really nothing we don't like about this region, quality accommodation, excellent food and a fantastic area to get down to nature through some of the most beautiful bush drives such as the Boranup Forrest and trails.
Enjoy visiting the Margaret River region but like everywhere else it has had its issues with COVID. Many places didn’t offer dinner, some places were closed for lunch even though it was the school holidays and super busy. Hopefully things will pickup as overseas travelers start coming back to WA.
It was relaxed and not rushed. Although a lot of the wineries we went to were closed there was still a lot to do. The beaches/surfing which is what we came down for was fantastic. We had multiple opportunities to sample different foods and drink, the cafes were wonderful and catered for our dietary restrictions (FODMAP). A lot of things were walking distance on the Main Street. The Sidewalk Cafe, Fudge Factory, Chocolate Factory, Cheese Factory, The Lavender Tea House, Yallingup Maze, Caves House (must do), Sundlowers Animal Farm, Margaret River Skate Park and the Sea Garden Cafe are all great places to visit!
Highly recommend the Eagle heritage bird park. So informative, entertaining and great value. What a wonderful service they do to rehabilitate injured birds of prey. Recommend to book at eateries during peak periods Colonial brewing doesn’t have a great selection of food choices, mainly pizza and burgers. Great spot for families with young kids. Can take your dog
If you like wineries, then go. Other than that, there is not much to Margaret River. There is one small main street, not many restaurants. We did a Discover Margaret River Tour which was excellent as it showcased the produce, apart from wineries (we visited 3). Other than that one drives to other tourist locations, like the caves, light house etc.
I did not do much sightseeing (this time) as I went for an event at a local Restaurant. MR is a warm friendly town , picturesque and welcoming . It offers an abundance of accom types and eateries. There is a lot to see and do and it deserves at least 3/4 days to cover the beach and hinterland as well as the charming township itself
Just perfect. This hotel is so lovely. The gardens are stunning, rooms are very cosy, they have a pillow menu should you have a preference. Staff are so accommodating & the breakfast area looking over the gardens is beautiful. They offer an afternoon tea also which is a nice touch. Breakfast included with your room is just lovely. If you are looking for something special in Margaret River would recommend Basildene
Modern self contained rooms were very comfortable and located in a beautiful homestead with surrounding bushland. Each room has a small courtyard facing out towards the open bush which makes for a perfect place to have a morning coffee. The location is central to a lot of great attractions around Margaret river and about a 10 min drive to the town centre.
I wanted to be just out of town but close enough to walk in. This place was perfect, 8 minutes to walk into town, 2 minutes to the Margaret River Brewhouse and 3 minutes to Limeburners. The rooms were very clean and the gardens was lovely. The staff were very polite could not fault our stay.
Got to meet lots of interesting folk in communal lounge. Cooked breakfast outstanding. Nice hosts who were always available but unobtrusive. Lovely atmosphere among fellow guests who were always happy to share Margaret River experiences.
Lewis was an amazing host straight away he made us feel welcome, nothing was too much to trouble. The eggs were an added bonus and we thoroughly enjoy them and our stay. We would recommend Margaret River Chalets for a great holiday
This was a fantastic slice of luxury befitting our visit to Margaret River. A perfectly central apartment with understated glam, which became our home away from home as we explored the region’s wineries and attractions.
Walk into Margaret River Town Centre and easy drive to many wineries and beaches and attractions . Very clean and spacious townhouse and very well stocked with basics like coffee, tea , tissues etc to get started.
The property was surrounded by tall timbers and it was whisper quiet. The property was within easy reach of the centre of Margaret River and the beach. To get away from it all, don't go past this place.
A cosy and compact chalet with excellent amenities. The bed is comfortable and clean. The place is in close proximity to town centre. We will stay there again next time when we visit Margaret River.
Great location, comfortable and spacious house with a large and open garden that was perfect for the kids. Kitchen had everything we needed. It made for an easy and relaxed holiday.
The Chalets are in a fantastic location with great access to all of Margaret River. They are as pictured, clean, free wifi and set in a wonderful peaceful location.
The house was clean with good kitchen and amenities. Great back yard for our children to play and keep entertained.
Great location in Margaret River. Hotel had a great atmosphere. Great facilities, including pool area.
Location was lovely. Breakfast and facilities was wonderful Lovely big bath with luxury towels.
Great hosts, very nice hotel in top location. Wine and chocolates were much appreciated
Everything, the location is far enough out of town that it feels safe and in nature but close enough to pop down to the shop. The cottage was beautiful and it was so special to have our whole family there for our honeymoon, what a perfect place! Also amazing for the kids with the animal feeds, very sweet watching them have so much fun.
Losari Retreat is absolutely incredible, the villa and property are amazing. The team were so helpful and went well above and beyond to ensure our stay was absolutely perfect. I would 100% recommend this property as a romantic getaway and hope to be back soon.
