Located 328 feet from restaurants, shops and services on Oberon Street, Highlands Motor Inn offers rooms with a flat-screen TV and a refrigerator. All accommodations includes a free car parking spot. The owners Bill and Sharon are genuinely the kindest people we have ever encountered when staying away from.home.
The family-owned and operated Titania Motel features a garden with barbecue facilities and provides free Wi-Fi. All rooms are nonsmoking and offer a flat-screen TV. Parking was close to the room. The room was warm but not stuffy. The bed was very comfortable with fresh new bed clothes. The Motel did not offer breakfast but there were facilities in the room to store (Fridge) and to prepare a light breakfast (Toaster) as well as coffee and tea making (Coffee and Tea supplied). It was very well set up for a low cost room.
Set in Oberon, 29 mi from Bathurst, Jenolan Caravan Park Oberon offers a garden and free WiFi. Every unit features a private bathroom and shower, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a microwave. I stayed with my partner in one of the newly renovated chalets. We are both above six foot tall and had plenty of room in the comfy bed! It was clean with great attention to detail. Would highly recommend! Very glad we chose to stay here.

Glenburn House is located near O’Connell. Originally built in 1883 as a school, the owners have since made sympathetic additions to convert it to a stylish residence enhanced by artistic furnishings,... Jennifer was the perfect host. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and a smile. The home is set in a beautiful garden but designed for privacy of each cabin/room. THe gardens were so peaceful and relaxing we sat on a private pation in the evenings and enjoyed the surrounding garden. Jennifer served us a beautiful breakfast each morning of fresh fruit muesli and a lovely cooked breakfast. While we felt we were in the countryside away from it all we were actually very well located to go to Mayfield Gardens, Oberon, Bathurst the caves there is so much around to see and do. Glenburn House is a real gem and we will be coming back one day.
Located in O'Connell, Mimirosa Bush Cabin is a bush retreat surrounded by natural flora and fauna. It offers BBQ facilities and free on-site parking. You can enjoy mountain views from all the rooms. The hosts are very super friendly and even welcomed us with local flowers. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog. The room gets quite cold at night and can be heated via the fireplace which was a very unique experience for us we greatly enjoyed. It was adorable being able to see their new born goats as well as the other farm animals.
Springmead Rustic Cabin is located in Rydal and offers a terrace. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. The cabin was very comfy and warm and it had an amazing view. It also had a welcoming bottle of champagne when we arrived which we loved!!! It was a perfect place to rest as it is located in a very peaceful area.
I visit a friend in Oberon. I love the monthly farmers market. If you go to jenolan caves, take a camera and an empty bottle to take home some of the superb drinking water that percolates down through the caves.
This is a great little town with a lot of friendly community sprirt reflected in projects like the Oberon-Tarana Historic Railway, the Oberon Regional Museum and for anyopne into Skoda cars (like me), the Skoda Museum is a must! Chinese Restaurant at the Big Trout motel not to be missed either -- great Chinese and Aussie cooking. Very beautiful rural landscape and high plateau country, fresh air, with lots of planted pine forests. I found it pays to check the availabilty of these destinations in advance as they are not always open on all days of the week.
Oberon is located in a very pretty part of rural NSW. Locals are your usual friendly country folk. Several nice places to eat and/or drink. I am aware of weather extremes in that area and you should plan any visit accordingly.
Long trip got there late it was cold in Oberon snow weather when I got there they already had air con on my room was so warm thank you and the shower was lovely and hot and my breakfast in my room next morning was wonderful comfy bed too 😀 and when I was leaving they told me I should visit Mayfair Gardens and I did fantastic 👍👍👍👍
We paid $60 on line to see Mayfield gardens. Considering it was 2c & snowing we rang to cancel only to be told we could not get a refund but a credit for another day! Considering we drove from ACT to see the blossoms that will be gone next week that is $60 we will never see again. A bit of customer service would have been nice. Oberon it’s self was a small town, really did not expect much after isolating for 6 months, just to get away. Bu the people were friendly. The weekend was spoilt by the cold from the rain & snow. We drove up to the dam, but couldn’t get out of the car, too wet. We then continued to drive around viewing old homesteads etc. in the rain. Dinner options were minimal in town so we ate Chinese at the motel which was surprisingly good.
Small but very cozy town. There is everything you need in a single road, only two minutes walking from the hotel. Around the town there are outstanding views and a lot history and nature. The Cave restaurant has very good pasta and pizza!
The gentleman who checked us in and the lady who checked us out were both very pleasant and helpful, friendly people. We were all in Oberon to visit the Mayfield Gardens the following day and were given a map of the area. The room was quite spacious and the gentleman offered information on eating places for dinner that night. Great to see there was a sachet of chocolate as well as tea/coffee and we were given a small bottle of milk. A couple of packet of biscuits was a nice touch too. Toiletries and face cloths were also appreciated.
The room was perfect for the 3 of us for an overnight stay in Oberon. Brad was extremely helpful giving us some tips/infos on what we could further do in that area & showed us directions to Mayfield Garden too. He attended to our needs immediately when there was an issue of the taps and sorted it for us. He has good customer service skills!
Hot shower, heated blanket, quiet at night, nice air con, it’s a great escape with friends for camp fires and BBQ - Oreo churros at the royal hotel is so delicious!
It was a good clean country hotel with Chinese restaurant on site. Great water pressure in the shower.
A beautiful old hotel currently being restored.
