The Cosy Bungalow is located in Portarlington. The air-conditioned property is 26 miles from Frankston, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. The facilities in all areas were excellent. The host was accomodating with all our needs. With a friendly welcome, I doubt you would find a cleaner place, with the comforts of home. Excellent breakfast. Would highly recommend this accommodation.
Located in Portarlington in the Victoria region, Port Relaxation is a self-contained, 3 bedroom house. This is the 2nd time we stayed at Port Relaxation, and we loved it. Clean and comfortable accommodation, fantastic location, walking distance to town and an excellent family friendly beach. And friendly communication from the owners. A home away from home.

It’s a gorgeous wee coastal town with several eating options especially later in the week. We have been here before on the ferry from Docklands. We had our car on this trip and drove back to Melbourne via the Queenscliff ferry to Sorrento. There are lots of vineyards to visit close by. On this occasion tho’ we visited Basil’s Farm for lunch.
Portarlington is still relatively undeveloped, no high-rise hotel complexes, though they are being planned. Good for relaxing! If you like quirky places with great tasting food, go to Saints and Sailors for their gumbo. And book in advance for their entertainment nights as they book out quickly. Lovely beaches in Portarlington. Tasty mussels. A strip of shops with variety of cafes, and Woolies around the corner. On the way in from Drysdale is Jack Rabbit winery with great food and amazing bay views from their hilltop. Only 23kms to Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale for more beaches, cafes and galleries etc.
We spent our trip travelling around the Bellarine Peninsula, most of the towns are a short drive away. There wasn't a great deal of activities to do in Portarlington itself. There is a boat that takes you to Docklands but the boat times aren't very visitor friendly. Portarlington Golf Club was a great place to eat, we went twice.
This is a copy of what I sent to Geelong Holiday Makers ... To whom it may concern, I spoke to your Vanessa regarding the wi-fi as I w as under the impression that everyone has it connected these days and that I hadn't had a reply to my email request which was sent on 21st April asking if it was connected as it was really important to us before we paid and confirmed our booking. We presumed that it was all to our request when we received our confirmation. I rang and left messages, in fact about 4 times, just to check and never received any reply until I heard from Vanessa on the 2nd May. Not very good business practice I'm afraid. I'm sorry that we don't agree with the other reviews online. On top of all of that, we had no heating whatsoever throughout our time of stay - the 3 small radiators that were left were not nearly enough to heat the size of this house. We absolutely froze. We didn't use the 2 front rooms as we couldn't heat the whole house. When the weather turned on Sunday night, we were not very happy at all - we had to sit right on top of the radiator - this continued throughout an extremely cold spell on Monday and until we left on Tuesday. I did note that these radiators were not tag-tested either in fact I don't think any of the appliances were done. There were no instruction books for any of the appliances either. Consequently we have come home feeling quite miserable and feel we haven't even had a holiday. At our age I think we deserved better! I am asking for some compensation from you to cover for all the trouble we had. You will note that I have sent a copy of this mail onto Booking.com too so they also have an indication of our problems and are waiting for us to write a review for your property. Your sincerely Ian Braybrook & Marilyn Bennet
Portarlington is a wonderful spot for a weekend away. Not too far from Melbourne but you feel like you are in a different world, feel like you are in a little seaside village. It has a great atmosphere, lovely restaurants and a beautiful pier and beach area. highly recommended going there if you haven't already and if you have, going back for more.
Again can’t fault the accommodation and we had a great time at Portarlington would definitely go again pub had great meals at reasonable prices there was a supermarket to buy groceries plenty of other restaurants to eat at and of course the beaches for the grand kids were great 👍
Nick and I attended a wedding at Jack Rabbit, about 15 mins away. Rob and Ian, our hosts, provided transport each way and exceptional hospitality over the duration of our 2 night stay. Starhaven is fully licensed, the amenities, breakfast and furnishings reflect attention to detail, the stylish surroundings and beautiful gardens elevate this property to Boutique Hotel status. I would have liked extra blankets in our suite but they materialized immediately on request, otherwise faultless!
This was the first time visiting Portarlington, it is an amazing weekend getaway. Our accommodation was excellent. It is very close to Portarlington town centre and beach. The accommodation was superb, we stayed in a family suite and it did not disappoint. We were welcomed on arrival and personally shown to our family suite. I would highly recommend The Oxley Estate and I will definitely be going back to stay again.
The bungalow was in a secluded, quiet location, located about 2kms from the Portarlington foreshore. Perfect for bike riding into the township. Gabe was a very friendly and available host in case I needed anything (I didn't). It ticked all my boxes for what I want in accommodation: bedside light, microwave, basic pantry items and more. Really enjoyed my stay and would have no hesitation in returning.
Ian and Denise were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. The room is large, the bed was super comfy and the fireplace delightful. So much more for the same price as a hotel room.
Have stayed here a few times and it’s a perfect pet friendly place which is centrally located in Portarlington. Cindy & Floyd are great hosts who are very responsive.
The location was pretty close to Portarlington town (Just a walking distance). Also The host are very friendly and supportive. We really enjoy our stay.
Lovely stay, in walking distance to the main hub of Portarlington. Staff were friendly. We had everything we needed and more and loved the pool.
Close vicinity to the beach. Off street car parking. Quiet area.
