Offering an outdoor swimming pool, Salamander Bay Bed and Breakfast is just a 5-minute drive from One Mile Beach. Guests enjoy BBQ facilities, free WiFi, and free secure parking. I was lucky to book there as there was a unexpected cancellation. The accommodation exceeded my expectation. Lovely decorated, with separate entrance and very comfy bed, it looks like every little thing is nicely organised including a tray for breakfast in the garden or pool towels or candles. Wonderful garden and swimming pool, parking lot on the territory. And last but not least lovely hosts. Would be happy to stay again.

Located in Salamander Bay, within a few steps of Salamander Bay, Foreshore Drive, 123, Sandranch offers sea views. This property has a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Room were quite spacious and beds were very comfortable. The downstairs loungeroom and outdoor grassed area is a perfect area for the kids to run around with plenty of tree shade, with complete view of site from parents. Such a sunny outlook of the water from that loungeroom. Most days I relaxed on the lounge downstairs reading a book, watching my partner play with our 11 month old on the grass in the sun.

Horizons Drive, Horizons Golf Resort, Unit 56 Augusta is located in Salamander Bay. Located a 19-minute walk from Salamander Bay, the property provides a restaurant and free private parking. The apartment is larger than average with 2 great bathrooms with excellent water pressure Great views over the golf course and extremely quiet location
We unfortunately didn't explore much of Salamander Bay but the resort we stayed in was very nice and conveniently located to most tourist attractions and lovely nearby towns which can be attained with a car in a short time Salamander Bay Square was convenient for necessity shopping and Kmart was handy also. There are lots of walking trails which are quite picturesque. Definitely would return as the beaches are spectacular!
Salamder bay is a beautiful coastal town but like most not much to do when the weather is not great the shopping center has everything you need for day to day items. I would avoid nelsons bay - on street parking is all metered and very expensive!!! needs more budget friendly places to eat out at
Loved how the apartment was decked out which made it homely had kids plastic plates and a speaker PlayStation and some DVDs a Netflix would have been fantastic, not sure if the tv was Netflix compatible or not didn’t try the PlayStation was a 3 so can’t get Netflix though there. A dongle would do it. Can then hook yr own account up as it has its own Telstra modem so you don’t have to connect to the resorts wifi as it is super slow. A BBQ would have been perfect on the balcony a little baby Q or one with just the hot plate so can cook breakfast on the balcony. A very big must is non slip mats in kitchen and bathroom or out door tiles. When that floor is wet is very slippery I had a fall in the kitchen and then again in the bathroom. didn’t realise it had water on it and slipped pretty bad where as I didn’t do much for the remainder two days of our trip as I have hurt my back and my neck. Spent most of those two days in bed. We had more we wanted to do too.
The perfect place to escape the frenetic pace of city life. There are lots of attractions close by to explore or just kick back and relax. The hosts were very welcoming and the accommodation clean, comfortable and spacious.
Great place to take long walks on the beach or around the bay. There’s a good shopping centre near by so you can stock up of anything you need, you do need a car if you want to travel into Nelson Bay.
Could be a very lovely area but it has become urban with ordinary housing and basic hospitality services. Retail shops we tried were not overly welcoming. Newcastle was much more tourist oriented. We waited for an hour to receive our meal at a pasta and pizza restaurant.

Having a kitchen with a stovetop and the oven was great as well as a washing machine and dryer facilities inside. The pool is just outside the room meaning no need to walk far to get to it. The parking was free and it was only a small walk to your room and back. I do recommend an apartment room with a swim out as it is the nicest option if you plan on staying at the resort most of the time. Internet access was great to have too. The room was spacious and the en-suite bathroom was big with a spa bath which was a luxurious touch.
