Offering an outdoor swimming pool, Salamander Bay Bed and Breakfast is just a 5-minute drive from One Mile Beach. Guests enjoy BBQ facilities, free WiFi, and free secure parking. Without a doubt the best place we have stayed. Everything was of the highest standard from the room, hosts, pool, all the little thoughtful extras, friendly advice, gardens, location. Every detail was covered by the exceptional hosts.
Located 23 miles from Newcastle, Pacific Blue Apartment 258, 265 Sandy Point Road offers accommodations in Salamander Bay. The kitchen features a dishwasher. A TV and DVD player are available. We loved the pool, a BBQ would have been great addition to the property.

Located 22 mi from Newcastle and 3.7 mi from Nelson Bay, Condo 108 DS @ Horizons Resort & Golf offers accommodations in Salamander Bay. The accommodations has unrestricted golf course views. It was my 2nd time and as I expected was beautiful peaceful my parents came to visit first time and they loved it specially kangaroos around us ..golf and spectacular view....
Loved how the apartment was decked out which made it homely had kids plastic plates and a speaker PlayStation and some DVDs a Netflix would have been fantastic, not sure if the tv was Netflix compatible or not didn’t try the PlayStation was a 3 so can’t get Netflix though there. A dongle would do it. Can then hook yr own account up as it has its own Telstra modem so you don’t have to connect to the resorts wifi as it is super slow. A BBQ would have been perfect on the balcony a little baby Q or one with just the hot plate so can cook breakfast on the balcony. A very big must is non slip mats in kitchen and bathroom or out door tiles. When that floor is wet is very slippery I had a fall in the kitchen and then again in the bathroom. didn’t realise it had water on it and slipped pretty bad where as I didn’t do much for the remainder two days of our trip as I have hurt my back and my neck. Spent most of those two days in bed. We had more we wanted to do too.
The perfect place to escape the frenetic pace of city life. There are lots of attractions close by to explore or just kick back and relax. The hosts were very welcoming and the accommodation clean, comfortable and spacious.
Great place to take long walks on the beach or around the bay. There’s a good shopping centre near by so you can stock up of anything you need, you do need a car if you want to travel into Nelson Bay.
Could be a very lovely area but it has become urban with ordinary housing and basic hospitality services. Retail shops we tried were not overly welcoming. Newcastle was much more tourist oriented. We waited for an hour to receive our meal at a pasta and pizza restaurant.
Great base to explore Port Stephens. Make sure you got to the wharf restaurant at Nelson bay! Best restaurant in NSW. The bespoke changes to the menu, the food, the portions, the hospitality, value for money! All PERFECT.
Loved the entire resort the staff were lovely the rooms were excellent so clean. we stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and perfect for families had the best time will definitely be back, the spa and pools are great and close to different things to do with family, friends or even just as a couple ! Loved it
