Occupying a beautiful waterfront location overlooking the spectacular Freycinet Peninsula, Swansea Beach Chalets offers free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool. Very comfortable bed, nice room layout, adequate heating in the bathroom, great kitchenette and great area for hanging up clothes.
Overlooking Great Oyster Bay, Piermont Retreat features an outdoor pool, a tennis court and an award-winning restaurant. Absolutely stunning location and facilities. The room was beautifully designed and fitted out with top of the range appliances. Incredibly tranquil and relaxing! The restaurant is a winner, with delicious dinner and breakfast (though a bit expensive for what you get.) The grounds are simply stunning. Overall, one of the best places we've ever stayed!
In Swansea Village, this bed and breakfast features free Wi-Fi and a dining room with views of Great Oyster Bay. All accommodations have a patio or balcony with outdoor furniture. Congeniality of Karen, our host. Also more than helpful with her knowledgeable suggestions regarding both dining and local sites.
Located in Swansea, this heritage-listed house offers free WiFi. It is 5 minutes' walk from a variety of shops and restaurants in the town center. Hosts Neal and Noel were wonderful. It was a very well-appointed suite, with great kitchen and spa. Lovely garden setting. Peaceful.
We chose to stay in Swansea for easy access to Freycinet National Park when we couldn’t get accommodation in or around Coles Bay. Despite being a second choice, the small village had everything we needed and was fine for a one night stay. We went for dinner a few km away at the restaurant at Piermont Retreat which was excellent, and we stayed at Freycinet Waters B&B which was very comfortable with lovely hosts.
Gorgeous little town on the coast with stunning views across to the Hazards. Lovely beaches and headland walk around the golf course. Check out the quirky presbyterian cemetery which overlaps with part of the town football oval. Super friendly local townspeople. 2 IGA supermarkets including the wonderful Morris's General Store which has been in continuous operations since the 1880's. Some nice cafes and restaurants and pubs.
the town was very quiet when we visited It is only a small town but has adequate shops for provisions and a few good options for dining which were all easy walking from our accommodation. easy for a day trip to Freycinet National Park and many great wineries nearby
Did not like this place at all. The pictures on the Web page does not reflect the smelly old dark brick and crappy bathroom facilities. Even outside my room entrance was dirty and only needed a blower to try to make it tidy. Only if there was a bit of pride and care by the hosts. Will not consider this place again ever and happy to camp in a tent instead. Happy face but crappy condition. Anyone looking at pictures please note, pictures look far better than reality.
I liked Swansea very much, friendly people and good food. The weather was fantastic and just taking in the serenity was what we were there for. Swansea is close to other areas as well. We visited Coles Bay and Bicheno and plan to go again to see what we missed.
Swansea is a lovely little spot that is an integral part of the east coast experience - and should be enjoyed as such. Its good for a short or overnight stay thats in easy reach of other parts of the east coast.
Mattress was perfect level of firmness (the “Goldilocks”), plus nice pillows Friendly reception staff Plenty of space in the chalet Parking right outside chalet – super convenient Loved the folder with lots of helpful information – where to eat/buy groceries, sightseeing in Swansea, maps, and activities to do in adjacent towns/up the east coast
The accommodation was great and the view the room was magnificent. I could not believe the wonderfully cooked brekkie was included in the price.Best of all was Karen she was so friendly and her knowledge of Swansea and the surrounding area was amazing.
This is the most affordable accommodation in Swansea but on a par or better than pricier competitors. In addition, you have the opportunity to cook your own food in the well-equipped kitchen. The atmosphere is wonderfully convivial.
Swansea Cottages are set in a quiet garden like location walking distance to the beach and town facilities. The rooms are comfortable and well finished . The gardens have a great communal fire pit and seating area .
charming farmstay. our toddler loved the animals. very welcome hosts. good location close to wineries and Swansea
Dinner was amazing. The suite was a great size and nice and warm. Swansea was beautiful.
thanks owner's hint to choose the easy road from Port Arthur to swansea.
the location of the hotel was great coz of the proximity to the beach.
Gorgeous room, friendly owners and staff and a fantastic breakfast!
It was centrally located in Swansea. It was clean and orderly.
House is amazing, pictures don’t do it justice. Anything you need or think of throughout the stay, was there. Everything has been thought through and provided. Hosts are super responsive. Getting the key was so easy, enter, up the drive, done, as opposed to AirBnB which is more like a quest and involves clues and wizards. Really appreciated that. Amazing location, great base, so glad I found it as it was superior to all my other choices. Thought about buying it - definitely didn’t want to leave. Caters so well for 6 people, all with separate quarters, purpose built really.
Loved the beach house aesthetic and the proximity to the beach
The view was to die for very private great for couples.
facilities fantastic, location brilliant,
