Located in Wellington, this historic building is surrounded by sprawling green lawns. It features an outdoor pool and a lovely sun terrace. Free parking is available. The premises are just so beautiful but the people that run the place are lovely, Wayne has such a welcoming nature and I would recommend this property to anyone even if you weren't planning on going to Wellington it is well worth the drive.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and country surrounds at Outback Cellar & Country Cottage. This self-contained accommodations offers a fully equipped kitchen and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. Beautiful spot 10-15 minutes from the centre of Dubbo but feels like you are absolutely in the country. The accommodation is very quiet, with a lots of space compared to a motel room, as well as cooking facilities. The setting is picturesque and we enjoyed a couple of lovely walks to the river. The weather outside was 38 degrees but the air conditioning worked a treat - though a little warmer in the loft than downstairs. Be prepared for about 1.5km of unsealed road to get to the property - however wasn't a problem and added to the experience - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Guests at Bulwarra Bed & Breakfast will enjoy free WiFi, free parking, a 24-hour reception and grocery delivery services. All studios have balconies with both garden and mountain views. The room was spacious and our little puppy was allowed to stay inside. They also had other little dogs for him to play with.
Aussie Cabins is offering accommodations in Dubbo. With a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, the property also has barbecue facilities. Guests can enjoy garden views. Self contained and the unit had everything that you could possibly want. Laundry detergent supplied- great as we had cricket whites to wash.
Boasting a tennis court, a bar and an outdoor swimming pool, the 5-star Pericoe Retreat features panoramic views over the Talbragar Valley and the surrounding countryside. Great property, friendly host ,clean and comfortable rooms
Located 10 minutes’ drive from Taronga Western Plains Zoo, guests at Macquarie Inn Hotel Motel have access to 6 bars, 3 conference rooms and bistro facilities including a children's playground. Everything was fantastic from check in to check out. The rooms are wonderful, I like the (retro) decor, I disagree with reviews that the rooms are tired. The room we had was well maintained, bedding was so cozy after a long day of interstate driving. It has NETFLIX!!!! this is the first place we've EVER stayed at (including 5 star) that has this. Little kitchenette had everything we needed, bathroom very serviceable. The kids loved our friendly little visitor (black cat) who came to greet us, and see us off! The included continental breakfast was a lovely way to finish our single overnight, and start another long day of driving. What a brilliant property, would go out of my way to stay here when in Dubbo again. Highly recommend
Canguri Boutique Cottage is located in Piambong, only 11 mi from Mudgee town center and wineries. Guests have a private terrace and WiFi is available.
Just 10 minutes’ drive from central Dubbo, the child-friendly Forest Lodge Motor Inn & Restaurant features an outdoor swimming pool and air-conditioned rooms offering a flat-screen TV with cable... The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was tidy, beds were comfy and the restaurant next door provided room service -the food was delish!
Fountain View Motel is located across Elston Park, a 5-minute drive from central Dubbo. It offers an outdoor pool, barbecue facilities and free WiFi access. Free parking is provided. Very comfortable beds and quiet room. Staff were excellent, very accommodating in arranging late check in.
Best Western Bluegum Motel is located in Dubbo, NSW and offers renovated, 4.5 star rooms with high-end furnishings such as 50-inch Samsung Smart TVs, Sealy commercial pillow-top beds and kitchenettes... Exceptional quality rooms. Very little to fault. We stayed just the one night and and after over 5 hours in the car from Sydney to Dubbo - it was so lovely to step into a beautifully presented room. The motel was easy to find - check in was efficient and friendly. We got directions to recommended venues for dinner and then relaxed back in the room with Netflix and free wifi. We had one of the rooms down the side facing the street off from the highway and didn't have any problems with noise. If you're travelling to Dubbo - I highly recommend the Bluegum!
We went to Wellington for the Eisteddfod. The group who ran the event were pleasant and accomodating. The town itself was a mix as we weren't always sure whether businesses were open. Even when we rang ahead of time not all answered their phones.
Lovely little country NSW town, about half an hour's drive from Dubbo and about an hour from Orange. We ate at the pub just near the railway station and the food was cooked perfectly, with huge juicy steaks and deliciously battered fish. On the other side of the river, in Montefiores, is the Lion of Waterloo pub, an old refreshment station for Cobb and Co horses and apparently the site of the last known duel in NSW. Delicious food there too, and in both places lovely friendly staff. In fact lovely people throughout Wellington. Didn't do much shopping, just some groceries (open until 10pm, very convenient after a long day of travelling). Unfortunatly didn't get to check out the nearby Wellington Caves, the site of an old phosphate mine, megafauna fossils, and stalagmites/tites, nor Burrendong Lake, but they both seem well received by those who do go.
We had a couple of great meals at the Cow and Calf hotel. A modern popular pub in the centre of town. Wellington Caves are a great attraction. Really beautiful. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. It's a quiet town that needs visitors to help enliven the township.
