Good spot...just to far out of town to walk, though.

Great old-style pub - nice accommodation, great meals, friendly hosts - in the centre of Winton. The pub serves the very best steak sandwich I have ever eaten; The Great Greg Sanga.

Lisa welcomed us and gave a good tour of the facilities. Nice to have the shaded balcony and a washing machine to catch up with laundry after a week on the road. She was kind enough to iron my shirt for the Dawn Service the following day.

Similar to houses in the town and adds to the experience rather than staying in accommodation specifically built for tourists.

1. The Age of Dinosaurs Museum is a "Must See". You will not regret taking the tour, marvellously educational and a lot of fun. The staff are top notch. The shop is great, be prepared to purchase for your grand kids! 2. Steak dinners at Tattersall's Hotel - awesome porterhouse. 3. The Musical Fence - what a lot of fun!

I loved spending time in Winton it has a unique charm of a true outback town that is rare today. Everyone was lovely and friendly locals and the old hotels were impressive and also the shops in town of yesterday’s era. One of the main highlights for me was the outdoor theatre so special ❤️

It was very good. did the stampede and rifts and sunset dinner drinks. Visited the Gregory Hotel and stayed for the poetry in the afternoon Had our own car but booked experiences. the stampede experience was great, much better than driving ourselves.

There is a bit to see in the town.

There is a bit to see in the town. The locals are very friendly. We had a good time at the North Gregory Hotel which has a great beer garden if the weather is right. There is an outdoor cinema theatre worth visiting. We needed something special from the Pharmacy and the Pharmacist and staff were very helpful (next to the cinema).

Winton is a place full of knowledge, from the Australian age of dinosaurs which was our high light to seeing a Brolga up close. Also, opals and a fantastic meal at the tattersall hotel which was a short walking distance from our motel

We loved staying in an authentic small outback town which retained its original buildings and charm, while still providing for visitors. There was a choice of pubs for refreshments and meals, and plenty to look at and experience (without being too 'in your face'). We loved being in the middle of nowhere, comfortably and not in a motel chain room! Wi-fi wasn't easy to access for us - that was fine for me but may bother some people. Bring lots of drinking water as the town water in Winton is pretty stinky.

Olive Grove is a spectacular stay. Beautifully decorated with a touch of luxury. Our stay in Winton was fantastic, and coming home each day to Olive Grove made it perfect. We loved the outdoor bath and fire pit or relaxing with a wine on the front deck, nibbling the special treats in the generous welcome basket.

Really great place to stay at, most likely the best in Winton. The pool was great, I spent 2-3 hours in there talking to Craig who worked at the place, really friendly guy, we shared many good stories ! Definitely the place to stay at if you're spending the night in Winton!

Contact the hotel if you want your accommodation rooms together. We assumed booking rooms as a family would book two rooms together however not the case and it was an inconvenience with three small kids involved. Apart from that no other issues. Staff were lovely.

Our 2nd night was in a donga at the back of the hotel and it was excellent, bed, and facilities all great, unlike our first night in the old hotel.
