Hotel La Roseraie benefits from a convenient location at the border of Brussels, 2297 feet from E40 and E19 Motorway, and a 15-minute walk away from the Atomium. I chose this hotel for its relative proximity to the Draeger building, in order to attend an ERC NLS course. The area looks suburban and feels pretty safe. The receptionist is very kind and speaks English very well. I got room 7, which has a jungle theme: beige-green walls decorated with parrots and some exotic-looking wooden devices (that first look like pipes or bows but are probably neither), a couch and chairs with a vibrant colourful pattern, and a beige-green bathroom with an actual bathtub (not just a shower). It was lovely. Although the room is located right next to the hotel entrance hallway, it was not noisy most of the time. I had no trouble sleeping. The breakfast food was good and fresh. Meat, croissants, milk and cereal, yoghurt, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee etc. No vegetables, but still relatively healthy. In the breakfast area there’s a microwave that I was allowed to use even when I hadn’t bought breakfast that day (to heat my own leftovers). The room is equipped with a small fridge / minibar. There’s also some sort of ironing device in the room (I didn’t try it). The wifi works well. The TV works well, the image quality is good. Overall good value for money.
La Pastorale Brussels Expo is located in Wemmel and offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a shared lounge. Close to Brussels, but nice and quiet environment. Friendly hosts (French-speaking, but Dutch also spoken very well). Very good breakfast and very comfortable rooms. We got extensive tips about eating and sight-seeing in and around the city.
Located in the countryside surrounding Brussels, The Atomium, Brussels Expo and King Baudouin Stadium are 3.1 mi away. This design bed and breakfast includes a swimming pool and hot tub. It was really outstanding service provided by owner. Very clean and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast.
It's a satellite town on the outskirts of Brussels well-served by buses to the centre or a bit further in by tram. It's very close to Atomium and Mini Europe but easy to get into town if you want to explore the centre. Easy to drive to also. The place has a number of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets making it ideal for a family stay.
