Rebecca from the reception is a very valuable employee, she helped us with all our questions and no question was crazy and difficult for her to solve or to answer, her English is the best we heard in Belem so far😊. The hotel helped us with a early check in, early breakfast, and again a late check in and an extended check out, we will definitely come back again here, breakfast is very good too

Very interesting city with amazing flavors and nature dive-in options. I loved trying different foods, all very fresh and delicious. We all enjoyed the tour to Cumbu island and the experiences we lived there. We loved the lush dense green we saw in Belem. People were very kind and helpful. The city has beautiful parks and the riverside area was pleasant. Very reasonably priced vacation.

In January we found the town rather dead.

In January we found the town rather dead. In Campina where we stayed there are very few shops, many restaurants advertised on internet blogs or reviews had disappeared or were closed, opening hours did not match. Very contrasted town. The old center is dilapidated and empty, unsafe at night, the renovated parts are buzzing with life. Fantastic museums (Museum of Amazonas) and others, delicious local cuisine (never heard of it before but really quite a find)

Some of the restored areas are nice but the place in general is typical of so many Brazilian cities - dirty, run-down with rubbish everywhere. The number of people living on the street is also a concern.

Belem is a great place to visit.

Belem is a great place to visit. It has unique food, culture and friendly people. The big open market called O VER-O-PESO and the Mangal das Garças are a must to visit. In the old part of town, called Cidade Velha you might like to visit the Forte do Castelo and the Cathedral da Sé. The Sāo Brás Market is also well worth a visit.

Learn Portuguese. They don't speak English.

Learn Portuguese. They don't speak English. Find out if your credit card can use PIX. Cashless payments everywhere. Even simple vendors on the market use PIX. I recommend utinga park and Mangal da Garcas. I came last days of May, quite hot starting starting 12 o'clock. But seems to cool off again at 14 o'clock.

I had a great time in this apartment and would really recommend it. It's in a nice and safe neighborhood. It's roomy and very clean. It has a lot of amenities: 2 tv, furnished kitchen, washing machine, fans, balcony, big bathroom, doorman etc. The view on Belem is really enjoyable. Carla and her husband went above and beyond to help me out with logistics. They were lovely.

I did not spend a night, because of the situation found and we claimed for the 5 days paid for. Two of us got refunded but two of us were not re embursed desoite a conversation with the owner. That is not right, plse pay back our money. We hav wrote this sveral times but the hotel owner says we should contact Booking.com
