Hotel in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro
Located 500 metres from the charming Copacabana Beach, and 350 metres from Siqueira Campos metro station, Hotel Atlântico Travel (currently in soft opening) offers accommodation in Rio de Janeiro. I travelled to Brazil last minute as my daughter is at university there and I managed to get some time off work. This hotel is excellent. The facilities are great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating although hardly anyone in Brazil speaks English. This is a Portuguese speaking country. The room was not big but I was alone and had a double and single bed in my room. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. They had a mini bar and it was replenished as I wished. Breakfast was basic but good enough to eat a good breakfast and had tea and coffee. I have had a fantastic time in Brazil and would recommend anyone who wants to be right near Copacabana beach to stay here!! Beautiful country and people and their culture is like no other. I would definitely stay here again as the price was also cheap compared to other countries. I have truly fallen in love with all Brazil has to offer!! Thank you to hotel Alantico travel!!!
Hotel in Centro, Rio de Janeiro
Hotel Atlântico Business is located in downtown Rio de Janeiro, 200 metres from the stately Theatro Municipal. It offers an outdoor swimming pool and a rooftop sun deck with splendid views. The location was a bit of a problem, downtown Rio is not what you expect, a lot of poverty, streets aren’t cleaned and buildings aren’t kept. But the hotel itself is good, clean, food is fantastic - please try their spaghetti bolognese- it’s to die for!

The views of the ocean and the beach are wonderful. There was a party happening in a market near Leblon and Ipanema. There are taxis in plenty and they are reasonable priced - a bit on the expensive side but still affordable.
Lovely and kind staff. Always smiling and helping. Elisabeth and Eddy are angels. Breakfast excellent rooftop bar with best view ever Rooms are nice and clean, super showers in the bathroom. We always come to the same Hotel when in RIO: ARENA LEME
Sugar loaf is a must. Ipanema beach and Leblon beach are very good. The weather wasn't in my favor but I enjoying walking around and the view. Although the view is amazing from the Christ of Redeemer the administration of the place is not good. They made me pay an adult ticket to my 10 years old son because I didn't have his ID proving his age, ridiculous! outside a lot of black market trying to sell tickets and people seems not to car about. The bathrooms were disgusting and not of options for you to buy a refreshment or snack.I hope they would change the tourist better since is not cheap please to visit. Few restaurants I'll recommend Mansao Wayne,Catete,Belmont on Ipanema beach, Rayz on Ipanema beach,Brau at Largo do Machado and BIBI everywhere in Rio
People warned me about Rio being super dangerous. The first day I was waking through Atlantic Avenue in copacabana I was worried I was going to be mugged. Nothing happened, I even saw people with their airpods without any fear. It is just common sense. Yes, Rio may be dangerous but don't let that keep you from visiting this such a beautiful city. It has so much to offer for everyone. If you like sightseeing you have Sugarloaf mountain, Christ the Redeemer, the Santa Teresa Tram, Copacabana beach, etc. etc. etc. If you want nightlife you have plenty in Rio. If you like sports, they have the Maracana stadium, make sure you go to a Flamengo match. We have the game of our life!
I have been to Rio many times and lived there, this trip, it was not as magical as my other trips in the past. I have been in Brazil many times. Even if the plain ticket from Philippines to Brazil cost all of my savings. I could've have explored other parts of Rio that are not plagued by high tourist prices. And I won't stay in a city that long if I can't afford it. Being a responsible traveller that I am now. I was there only for 2 days.
Rio is a wonderful city to visit, especially this time of year. The weather - April.May- sunny and hot, and cool at night. Not a rainy season. The food is amazing, the people are so very nice too. Just be careful- don't wear expensive jewelry, and don't flash your cellphone on the streets. Ubers were super-convenient and affordable (In dollars). I have been going to Rio since the 80's ,and speak Portuguese, which really helps. My advice, if you plan to go to Rio, is pack light, take a credit card with no international fees, and expect to have a great time!
The location is perfect. Great shops, supermarket nearby, Copacabana's best part. I can say that after walking up and down Copacabana beach many times. Bed was comfortable. From the swimming pool area you have view to the Christ statue. This pool area was small, I had no chance to use it because of the the other guests, but was not a big problem. The breakfast was good. Before staying in this hotel I stayed for some nights in the Lapa area too. I think this split was a really good decision to get to know Rio.
A perfect location if you are looking to stay in Copacabana as it is right in the middle of the stretch and not far from Ipanema. The rooftop of the hotel is the best part and the reason I chose to stay here - it did not disappoint. We spoke and interacted with many of the hotels staff members. Two really stood out for us, Iago and Neumarque. They were amazing in every way - extremely friendly, kind, attentive and hardworking. I would recommend the hotel based on the service of those two gentleman alone.
The hotel is located in the beginning of Copacabana Beach which gives the hotel an easy access and exit to main roads. The beach in the front is not as full as the rest of the coast which makes the experience much better. In terms of hotel service, the hotel is doing its absolute best to keep sanitised areas and rooms. We managed to get an early check in and late check out which was fantastic considering that we were staying in Rio Only for a weekend.
The hotel has excellent location, right on the Copacabana beach (the west end of it, near fort). On the roof there is also small swimming pool and a bar from where You can see all Copacabana beach. To my opinion Copacabana is the most comfortable beach compared to Ipanema and Barra da Tijuca further west with less or no wind at all (that's important!). So, good rest on the beach and exciting swimming among ocean waves is guaranteed.
We enjoyed the breakfast. It had the typical American bacon and egg choices, but the best thing was the variety of fresh fruits. The pool area is very nice with a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly and helpful with information about transportation and restaurants. The location is fantastic, right across the street from Copacabana beach which is beautiful. The hotel provides beach service (chairs, umbrellas, drinks) also.
We had a great time at Arosa Rio Hotel. We were there for the New Year’s Eve and the our last day was the 31 December. The staff kept our luggages until the 1st January and allowed us to get ready for the NYE although we didn’t have a room anymore. Our room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is well located and is closed to Santa Teresa, one of the coolest neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro.
If you want to stay in Lapa we would recommend to stay here. It's close to the famous stairs and the nightlife. In the night is a huge streetfood market in front of the Hotel where you can get cheap and good food. Santa Teresa is in walking distance too. The single room was huge and clean
This is the best hotel we stayed in Rio. They have everything you want in the rooms, they rent beach towels for free, it's super secure with 24/7 security and keycards for the doors, and on premise restaurant with great food at a reasonable (for Copacabana) price.
Everything was great. Excellent staff, tasty breakfast, rooms are clean and comfortable and great pool. Nothing seems out of place and the Hotel is in a great location for tourists. 15 mins to Copacabana, 10 to the Christ of Redeemer and 5 mins from the bars at Lapa.
It was my second stay at the hotel. Staff was great, the bedroom very nice. Great location and a superb beach service with all you need, including towel, parasol and beach chair, all for free. The hotel is newer and better than most hotels in Ipanema and Leblon.
What we liked the most was the bed (truuuuly comfy) and the location, 5 minutes away from the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. Also, the atmosphere of the hotel was nice, fresh and youthful. Breakfast offered variety and fresh food, but not as much fruit.
Hotel is decent and in a good area for accessing copacabana and ipanema beaches. Staff was very helpful especially Sylveon, made us feel very welcome and looked after, even showed us the pool after the checkout lol. Jokes aside it was a good service!
Hammock in the room was a nice touch. The sea view room was great. Breakfast on the front facing the beach. Very friendly staff. Very modern hotel. Good location between Copacabana and Ipanema. Beautiful view of the sunset!
the hotel has a great location between copacabana and ipanema.it is fairly safe in the area.the rooms are basic but have all anemnities.the included breakfast is very complete.
Exeptional value for the money. Super nice hotel, build by Brasilian famous architect. Beach is 1min from the pool and it is not crowded like Ipanema/Leblon or Copa...
Located in the heart of Copacabana. A neighborhood that unfortunately has devalued itself over time. Although, recently reformed the Hotel Bedrooms are incredibly small.
The hotel is centrally located in Copacabana and there are several stores, markets, cafes and restaurants nearby. It is also near all the public events in the area.
Good location for access to the centre although not as picturesque as ipanema or Copacabana Was quite cheap for a hotel in central Rio
I like the Hotel was not too far from the Copacabana Beach and the view from the pool and my room was beauitful.
The place is well position in the center of copacapanna with a lot of history behind it. Visit the salon in the first floor to see the celebrities who stayed in this hotel. The moment you enter the room you will understand why this hotel is highly rated, from the painting on the wall to the sofa, flooring and the bed. All of this ives you a feeling of luxury you will rarely find elsewhere. The best part is the service you get, the team are helpful and do their best to make you feel comfortable and all are fluent in english.
